**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**

The Value Based Healthcare (VBHC) Consultant is responsible for implementing outcomes-based projects at a hospital level. The VBHC Consultant will oversee all complex projects in which align Medtronic’s customers to outcomes based medicine, including data analytics, change management and to ensure on-time and on-budget completion of projects. In addition, the VBHC Consultant will become a subject matter expert in delivering outcomes based metrics at the hospital level.

The job deliverables of the VBHC Consultant include, but are not limited to, designing project scope and communication strategy, stakeholder analysis mapping and assessment of resource requirements to support a project. The candidate will need to establish project teams with appropriate governance structures, this includes development of implementation / project plans and kick-off meetings to introduce / train teams to VBHC methodology. The candidate would need strong diagnostic skills including gap analysis which would be needed in process mapping of appropriate areas of the hospital care pathway with activity based costing methodology.

**MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Oversee multiple value based healthcare projects that enable customers to measure clinical and non-clinical outcomes across a patient’s continuum of care.

+ Deliver training to nurses, physicians and hospital executives upskilling them in value based healthcare methodology.

+ Liaise and collaborate with all Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions subject matter experts (i.e., architects, equipment engineers, materials management leaders, cath lab operations team, process excellence team, IT, etc.) to develop and implement consistent processes for VBHC project management and execution

+ Develop project tracking tools and KPIs to ensure internal and external stakeholders are regularly informed about project status and risks/issues

+ Ensure customer engagement, alignment, and satisfaction throughout planning and execution phases

+ Collaborate with subject matter experts as well as back office functions to manage third-party suppliers/sub-contractors supporting the project

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE**

+ University degree in a relevant field, business, engineering or technical field, MBA preferred

+ Proven years managing complex projects in the health care field within a clinical setting

+ Strong problem assessment and solving skills

+ Excellent track record of collaboration within multiple cross functional teams

+ Strong influencing and communication skills amongst multiple stakeholders

**ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Healthcare or medical background within a hospital setting

+ Experience working within a multi-national team and customers

+ Strong communication skills with customer focus

+ Strong people leadership skills

+ Excellent communication and active listening skills

+ Above average levels of business and financial acumen, in particular to activity based costing models

+ Collaboration mindset with a strong desire to work cross functionally to deliver on team goals

+ Capabilities of influencing at all levels of the organization internally and externally

+ Hands-on technical experience in one or more disciplines related to the Integrated Health Solutions offering

+ Detail oriented a must

+ Excellent presentation skills

+ Self-motivated

+ Good team player

+ Willing to travel within the Asia Pacific region

+ Accredited Lean Sigma or project management experience a plus

**Other Comments:**

+ Some out of hours work will be required

+ International travel across Asia Pacific may be required (up to 15%)
