**A Day in the Life**

**Main Purpose of Job:**

Prepares, coordinates and executes clinical evaluations of O-arm x-ray imaging and Surgical Navigation systems in European Hospitals to support the Regions in their sales activities. Trains HCPs and Medtronic Staff in the combined use of O-arm and Navigation in surgery.

**Main Job Duties / Responsibilities:**

Support the different regions across Western Europe with clinical evaluations (CE) of O-arm and Navigation for Spinal and Orthopaedic and Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery. A CE typically takes 2 week (15 to 20 CEs/year), during which the employee is working at the hospital of the prospecting client in close collaboration with hospital staff.

This includes the following tasks:

Performance of clinical case coverage during the CE. Help surgical team with the correct usage of O-arm and Navigation Equipment during the case.

Perform training of hospital Staff and surgeon prior to first surgery.

Optimize OR (Operation Room) set-up for O-arm use in coordination with hospital staff

Coordinate upcoming CEs in collaboration with country staff and hospital team.

Consistently and effectively communicate with the hospital to assure alignment of all involved hospital staff to further best outcome of CE.

Partners with Cranial Spine Product managers and regional teams to drive focus, execution on KPIs for the Big Capital business.

Organize transport and delivery logistics for demo material.

Perform X-ray compliance tests prior to use with hospital radiologists (and local x-ray experts) in accordance with local regulations.

Organize planning of surgical intervention with the O-arm during the CE in collaboration with the hospital and country staff.

Organize regular maintenance of the demo equipment to guarantee readiness for use.

In addition the employee will participate in the training of hospital staff during new installations as well as for health care professionals and Medtronic staff during Medtronic organized trainings in the countries or the HQ VIP suit.

She/he will work with the Cranial Spine Training/Education team to develop and deliver appropriate content.

Other related tasks as assigned by manager

Travel requirement: up to 80% mainly in Western Europe


Minimum 4 years of experience in OR and hospital environment, working with technical equipment (Surgical Imagery, Surgical Navigation, etc.)

English fluent and one more Western European languages

Ability to travel (80%)


Experience in Spine and Orthopaedic Surgery

Experience with Medtronic Spine Implants

Certified for the use of medical X-ray imaging

Additional Western European languages

International experience


Highly self-motivated individual that goes the extra mile to make things happen
