Medtronic is looking to recruit a highly capable Territory Manager for our Surgical Business Solutions team in Perth. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will join a team of dedicated and talented professionals and gain world-class training and development. **A Day in the Life**


The successful candidate will promote Medtronics products including Access (Ports) Surgical Instruments, Electrosurgical and consumables, Sutures and Skin Staplers to specialists and clinical/technical professionals. He/she will practice effective territory management in terms of planning, organization and administration, along with timely and accurate expense planning and control. It is critical that you have had strong experience in sales and negotiation and in handling contracts, rebates and pulling together deals.


The territory will cover central Perth, Midland up to Joondalup as well as larger regional hospitals as required.


**In this role, you will:**


+ Actively seek to develop and expand on territory management and selling skills and plan work to achieve or exceed sales targets

+ Be the product expert and provide education and training effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff within assigned territory

+ Gather market intelligence (product, price, promotion, discount etc.) by observation, discussion or research, and seek to develop new business opportunities

+ Work individually and as part of the wider team to establish and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders

+ Ensure timely follow-up and prompt resolution to customer/patient technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed


**Must Have - Minimum Requirements**


+ A Bachelors degree in Science or Business related disciplines, is essential

+ Proven healthcare sales experience with a success track record, preferably selling Surgical products

+ Experience managing contracts, rebates and pulling together deals

+ Strong negotiation and influencing skills

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders

+ Sound business acumen with ability to perform analysis and work through financial value propositions
