**A Day in the Life**

The ENT Territory Manager will achieve territory sales revenue and growth targets for the Medtronic NSW ENT business. He/ she will support Medtronic ENT sales, business development and marketing strategies This role will offer the opportunity to be trained and gain experience in our market leading technology across a broad range of ENT procedures. As a Territory Manager within our Neuroscience business, you will be embarking on a wonderful career with Medtronic and delivering life changing outcomes for patients.

**Key responsibilities include:**

+ Develop and implement sales and call plans for specified territory as part of national strategy. Provide meaningful reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

+ Apply Strategic Selling capital sales methodologies to convert opportunities into purchase orders.

+ Drive pre-sale product evaluations of products in the territory.

+ Provide surgical coverage, follow-up support and troubleshooting.

+ Maintain and update client information and activity in customer relationship database.

+ Actively utilize sales force effectiveness (SFE) processes for planning, delivering and analyzing sales calls.

+ Expand the customer base and sales by establishing regular contact with key surgeons, technical staff and administration personnel

+ Ensure the highest level of expertise is attained and maintained by developing and maintaining comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the companys products.

+ Ensure customers and prospective customers are technically competent through on-site and other education events.

+ Encourage team environment by offering support in other territories as needed.

+ Deliver sales forecast and funnel updates to Field and National Sales Managers.

+ Communicate marketing plans / intelligence / competitor activity promptly, including potential sales leads, and information regarding product price or account activity to relevant head office staff.

+ Other duties as assigned/requested by management.

+ Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.

**Must Have Minimum Requirements:**

+ A minimum of five years of previous sales experience in medical devices/Capital Sales preferred;

+ Demonstrated success in developing and closing new business opportunities, including negotiations

+ Experience in Theatre - highly regarded

+ Prior sales experience (preferably with medical capital equipment e.g. x-ray, CT, MRI; Experience with image-guided surgery.)

+ Proven sales and negotiations experience

+ Success in growing share in mature market

+ The ability to build strong customer (internal and external) relationships throughout a customer organisation, at all levels

+ Experience in a team oriented and highly collaborative sales environment

+ Outstanding communication skills

+ Tertiary qualifications are essential

+ Specialised training in ENT or Surgical Navigation preferred
