The Diabetes Territory Manager (TM)
will manage territory base business and growth by promoting, selling,
supporting Medtronic Diabetes products and services.

This TM is responsible for Cleveland Clinic providers in Northern Ohio and surrounding area.

+ Conduct sales calls to promote,sell, and service Medtronic Diabetes products and services to existing andpotential physicians and patients.

+ Implement market developmentplans/strategies and quarterly sales plan to achieve sales goals andobjectives.

+ Educate physicians, nurses,educators, and other referral sources regarding the importance ofintensive diabetes management and continuous glucose monitoring forpatients with diabetes.

+ Work directly with patients

+ Responsible for pursuing leads,assessing needs and providing product and therapy technical support andservice, including consultation at staff in-services and physicianseminars.

+ Fiscally manage territory bycontrolling expenses, product returns, and product inventory.

+ Responsible for developing,building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholdersincluding distributors and healthcare professionals, and referral sourcesto establish a solid base of business.

+ Assist in establishing the companyas the leader in diabetes products in the community by participating incommunity organizations such as local chapters of ADA (American DiabetesAssociation), AADE (American Association of Diabetes Educators), JDRF(Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and patient support groups.

+ Coordinate daily support activitiesand customer activities at meetings as assigned.

+ Complete administrative reporting asassigned.

+ Utilize approved sales collateral tosupport promotional and territorial needs.

+ Partner with cross-functional teamsand internal resources.

+ Conducts market research includingcustomers and competitor activities.

+ Communicates customer feedback onnew products and/or modifications to existing products or applications tointernal stakeholders including RD, Operations and Marketing.



+ Bachelor's degree

+ Minimum of three (3) years fieldsales experience; or, Minimum of three (3) years inside sales experiencewith Medtronic Diabetes; or Minimum of two (2) years Medtronic Diabetesfield clinical experience in a sales environment (i.e. 2 years as aMedtronic CTM)


+ Prior medical device, business tobusiness or pharmaceutical sales experience highly preferred.

+ Previous sales award recipient dueto strong sales performance (i.e. Presidents Club, Rookie of theYear).

+ Strong data analysis, evaluation andproblem solving skills.

+ Knowledge of Diabetes products andtherapies

+ Preference given to localcandidates.

+ Demonstrable success in previousemployment indicated by high level of sales performance.

+ Must demonstrate deep understandingof the customer to drive, challenge and push thinking.

+ Demonstrated experience in makingmultiple referral calls on a daily basis.

+ Proven job skills in businessplanning/consulting and territory financial analysis.

+ Ability to execute sales strategiesin a complex, multi-faceted environment

+ Excellent interpersonal,communication, negotiation skills; team oriented; conceptual/consultativesales skills.

+ Works on problems of diverse scopewhere analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

+ Ability to exercise judgment withingenerally defined practices and policies in selecting methods andtechniques for obtaining solutions.

+ Must successfully complete salestraining.

Travel is required.Must be
able to drive approximately 85% of the time within assigned territory and may
require overnight travel. Ability to drive over four hours consecutively.

Must have a valid driver's license
and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record
will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
