To support our Neuromodulation business for the Netherlands we are currently looking for a **Technical Consultant** within the Pain Therapies team. This is a great challenge for a person with a strong clinical background, strong communication skills and a drive for patients well-being.

**A Day in the Life**

There is a large technical component to the role, managing both customer and patient interactions with Medtronic devices. As the lead point of contact for all technical matters specific to your customers needs, you will interact with customers (pain physicians and specialized pain-nurses mainly) to ensure optimum therapy outcomes for patients implanted with our innovative Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) and Targeted Drug Delivery (TDD) product portfolio.

You will provide technical in-theatre support (related to trial, implantation, and patient programming) and you will be involved in patient follow-up sessions with the goal to optimize therapy effectiveness with our innovative Medtronic solutions.

You will identify practical and awareness gaps regarding the use and potential of Medtronics SCS and TDD solutions at the customers side and you will deliver appropriate training at an account level to close them. You will organise and participate as required at regional nurse training programs. In order to be able to fulfil this responsibility, you will ensure that your own product knowledge remains up to date for all current and legacy products. We expect you to assume a pro-active attitude and take the responsibility for self-directed learning as well as participating in classroom-led training.

Since you are part of a commercial organization, you will also be responsible to keep your competitor knowledge up to date along with the ability to promote Medtronic products in line with clinician and service needs. Furthermore, it will be part of your role to assist Field Sales Representatives with forecast and tracking key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and to help preparereports on account status as required and we do expect you to share market intelligence with management and colleagues.
