**A Day in the Life**

This position will be responsible for case coverage in Top and Develop Spine accounts, the upselling within the theatre environment, ordering and inventory management, soliciting orders, supporting sales of Medtronic Spinal products assigned and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned as well as for maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions. This position will work in tandem with the cranial and spinal Territory manager and will have territory pan- district coverage responsibility and sales responsibility. Allocation guideline for core responsibilities include: Inventory Management, Case Coverage, and Selling (inside the operating room).

**Main Responsibilities**

+ Provides clinical implant support to the clinical team in theatre across the spinal procedures (i.e. ability to cover surgical synergy + implants + bio).

+ Upselling of Energy and Power tools in the theatre environment.

+ Responsible for territory case coverage and support of intraoperative sales.

+ Asset management of the territory.

+ Provides troubleshooting support to field sales force and customers on request.

+ Plans and supports clinical and technical training and education programs with review and input from Sales Manager and staff in the District as well as other functional groups, i.e. marketing, reimbursement, regulatory, clinical, education etc., consistent with the District Business Plan.

+ Participates in the development of employee and customer training/education programs.

+ Prepares study material, plans, organizes and conducts training to customers (physicians, technicians and nurses) in collaboration with the District Sales force/network team.

+ Participates in and supports regional events such as Congresses or Customer Events.

+ Supports District Sales force during presentations to customers upon request.

**Relationship Management**

+ Supports marketing and sales in the introduction and market release of new products and therapies

**Internal and administrative tasks**

+ Reports on SFDC case coverage for all accounts, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion.

+ Reports immediately and accurately all negative customer or product related events (e.g., customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks etc).

+ Carries out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner, (i.e. boot stock reports, stock movement forms etc.).

+ Provides minimum, but regular activity report to district manager.

+ Attends all required regional and national meetings.

+ Follows applicable Medtronic policies and procedures related to Regulatory Affairs Quality Assurance

+ Acts according to the Medtronic Code of Conduct and the Business Conduct Standards

**Must Haves**

+ Degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree

+ Experience in the medical (device) industry or in a hospital operation room environment; previous Sales experience a strong plus

+ Thorough knowledge of all business product lines and therapies

+ Knowledge of the competitive marketplace

+ Previous training/education experience

+ Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team

+ Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of good judgment.

+ Ability to work in an operating room setting

+ Ability to effectively build relationships with a wide range of people and personalities, mainly at operational level in hospitals

+ Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule

+ Travel is required, must have a valid drivers license

+ High attention to detail and accuracy
