Job Description Summary: Overview of Role
It is critical that the use of systems, data management and reporting are optimised within the MDSC Supply Chain department to maximize the effectiveness of processes and procedures and to support Corporate best practices.
The role is to provide support for the MDSC Supply Chain department to standardise data presentation and reporting; to assist systems development; to manage data to drive improvements and to ensure effective controls.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities
1. Supplier Performance Analytical Tools and Metrics
• Provide a common standard for data collection, analysis, communication and follow-up of Supplier OTIF, DPPM & RCA metrics.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Produce monthly Supplier Performance packs.
• Standardise and co-ordinate supplier formal account reviews and visits.
• Ensure Best Practice initiatives enforcing “one MDSC” view internally and externally
• Ensure effective use of systems (e.g. Aerovantix) both internally and externally.


2. General Support for MDSC Supply Chain.
• Provide data management/analysis, standard and ad-hoc reporting, problem solving and training.
• Support process development/enhancements, underpinned by standard job instructions (SJI’s.)
• Create Standard Job Instructions (SJI’s) to cover all regular tasks.
• Provide general support to the Supply Chain team.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Filter and “clean” data, and review reports




3. Templates, Data Presentation and Records Retention.
• Standardise templates used within Supply Chain (e.g. RFQ’s, supplier selection forms.) in line with current MDSC and Corporate procedures and policies.
• Standardise the records retention (e.g. NDA’s, LTA’s, RFQ’s, PO’s, Quotations) within Supply Chain
• Create SJI’s to ensure consistency.


4. Support UTAS Corporate Requirements
• Undertake corporate reporting including STAR and supplier score card requirements.
• Assist in ensuring department compliance to UTAS procedures, including eSOX.


5. ACE
• Support the implementation of the ACE principles into the MDSC Supply Chain.

Basic Qualifications: Requirements / Personal Characteristics:
• Experienced systems and data analysis skills with wide experience of supply chain projects
• Highly data literate and driven with stong statistical analysis skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to apply them within an engineering / design / manufacturing environment; ability to instil confidence in all stakeholder groups
• Must be a self-starter,
