**A Day in the Life**


As the Inventory Optimization Supply Chain Planner, you will advance the maturity of inventory planning andstandardized supply planning practices throughout the business units global distribution and manufacturinglocations by collaborating with planners around the world on an optimized global safety stock inventory plan. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement and adherence through review and best practice sharing withother Medtronic businesses and peers.You will support the Global Supply Chain Organization by deploying and maintaining the monthly EnterpriseInventory Optimization (EIO) global safety stock review process which is used to calculate optimized worldwideinventory levels to support business needs collaborating in designing and deploying process improvements, toolsand reports as well as working with supply chain planners and regional leads to validate the EIO model.


You will:


+ Enhance and expand the usage of EIO modeling worldwide.

+ Monitor EIO supply chain network model data inputs and works with planners to ensure inputs align withbusiness goals

+ Partner with Master Data Management to ensure a high accuracy in system data

+ Conduct analysis to validate lead times, yields, and other calculated input variables

+ Design and conduct what-if simulation experiments to understand inventory impact of demand and supplyinput changes

+ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the inventory planning process workscollaboratively with planners and regional leads to implement

+ Provide planner training, coaching and mentoring to enhance capabilities and address gaps ordeficiencies

+ Monitor the monthly EIO process to ensure planner compliance and timely submission

+ Establish process to identify errors or gaps in safety stock management

+ Load EIO recommendations into SAP APO per the monthly cadence

+ Lead deployment of EIO enhancements within the business unit

+ Coordinate and executes testing and implementation of key system changes and reporting toolsetenhancements

+ Lead the expansion of EIO modeling to new regions, countries or product families

+ Maintain project timeline and coordinate tasks required to meet project goals and deadlines

+ Coordinate resolution of broad supply chain planning process gaps or inconsistencies collaborativelywith business, regional, and corporate owners


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience


**Nice to Have**


+ PreviousSupply Chain Planning, Demand or Supply Planning within Operations

+ Advanced Planning System experience

+ Self-motivated problem solver

+ Strong analytical skills

+ High Proficiency with Excel

+ Supply Chain experience with either Forecasting/ Demand Planning or Supply/ Inventory Planning

+ Experience maintaining planning systems and master data

+ Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Computer/ Information Systems,Mathematics, Supply Chain, or similar

+ APICS CPIM or CSCP certified

+ Lean Sigma Green or Black Belt certified

+ A3 Problem Solving experience

+ Fluent/ capable in basic statistics

+ Medtronic Business Unit Global Supply Chain experience with either Forecasting/ Demand Planning orSupply/ Inventory Planning

+ Inventory Optimization/ EIO exposure within or outside of Medtronic

+ SAP APO Demand Planning (DP)

+ SAP APO Supply Network Planning (SNP)

+ Manugistics Demand Planning or Master Planning/ Fulfillment

+ SAP or APO system project implementation experience

+ Business Analyst or Report Development

+ Report tool or query creation

+ Inventory Management experience

+ Sales and Operations Planning concepts and experience
