**A Day in the Life**


+ Work in a highly multidisciplinary and complex technical environment

+ Characterize and write requirements and specification to different life altering projects to operate in the OR environment

+ Act as the technical consolidator of high-end, multidisciplinary projects in complex workflows involving HMI SW, HW, risks and HW/SW interface

+ Identify potential harming risks in the developed products and provide insights on potential mitigations

+ Perform a hands-on work on the software and physical system with designated new components/features

+ Resolve technical questions and technical conflicts raising in the development and post-market processes

+ Come up with new solution ideas while promoting them to execution in the field

+ Develop according to development processes accompanied by relevant standards Safety, risks, usability etc.

+ Lead and attend labs for both RD hands-on or surgeon observation for future development purposes

+ Work closely and coordinate the internal RD teams on site and other Medtronic sites

+ Design, integrate, and optimize complex systems over their full life cycles


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree in a technology or engineering related field required

+ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience


**Nice to Have**


+ RD experience in medical devices very nice to have

+ RD systems engineering experience in multi-disciplinary field very nice to have

+ Full life cycle development of a product, from ideation to selling product

+ Experience working in a regulated industry

+ Effective communication both verbally and in written form.

+ Experience working across various teams (design teams, testing, human factors, marketing, management) in previous positions.

+ Experience writing requirements.

+ Experience creating system architecture.
