The Sr. Software Quality Engineer works as part of the quality team supporting the cross functional software development activities. Candidate possesses an understanding of electro-mechanical design and software development process development. An understanding of design for reliability/six sigma is preferred. As an important member of our Quality Team, you will provide guidance and implement strategies that drive product quality and continuous improvement.

The Senior Software Quality Engineer responsibilities include:


+ Documents, operates and maintains softwarecomponents and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with mechanical and electrical systems.

+ Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and toolsthroughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and wide range of software systems

+ Interfaces and provides guidance to customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

+ Work in Agile teams using Agile methodology running Sprints, Scrums, etc.

+ Provide leadership in all phases of software design and development of innovative systems through technical planning, execution, test and evaluation.

+ Hands on software development as well as strong hardware design, hardware bring up and debug knowledge.

+ Lead New Software System Development through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

+ Ensure that systems meet all FDA and international requirements for medical software.

+ Resolve customer issues through troubleshooting and experiments.

+ Work with software development engineers to design and/or drive testing methods and to assure systems meet requirements for performance and safety.

+ Support regression analysis with the associated required documentation.


Responsibilities may also include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software systems quality operating methods, processes, and procedures.

+ Conducts evaluation of software systems activities including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification and validation.

+ Defines appropriate measures to ensure product quality.

+ Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.

+ Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.

+ Reviews software systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements.

+ Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

+ Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or Technical field with 4+ years experience in software engineering and/or quality or advanced degree in Engineering, Science or Technical field with 2+ years experience in software engineering and/or quality.


**Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)**


+ Software or Electrical or Computer engineering

+ Minimum 4 years of Software development experience using these Skills, Languages, Tools, Platforms Methodologies

+ C/C++ expertise

+ SW Design and Architecture

+ Real-Time Embedded Programming vs. Application Programing

+ Object Oriented Programming concepts and experience

+ Good understanding of design controls and regulatory compliance

+ Experience with technical documentation in a regulated industry

+ ASQ SQE Certification
