The Companion Medical/Medtronic software team is looking for a strong engineer to focus on supporting our Cloud Infrastructure and Applications. To be successful in this role you will have a solid background in developing and troubleshooting cloud applications.
**A Day in the Life**
Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain cloud applications
Maintain and monitor commercial apps by tracking error reporting, updates and other field issues
Participate in design and code reviews
Document work per medical device standards
Write and Execute software validation protocols
Write test reports documenting validation
Follow internal software development, validation and cybersecurity procedures to comply with medical regulations
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements software components, software tools and utilities.
Determines systems software design requirements.
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

BA/BS in Computer Science or related Science or Engineering degree
4+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree or 2+ years of experience with a Masters degree in Computer Science or related Science or Engineering degree
**Nice to Have**
Solid Experience with Kotlin, Typescript, Java, JavaScript
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience working with Firebase
Demonstrated hands on experience of serverless technologies and micro-service architecture
Working experience of IntelliJ, Gradle and other development tools
Working experience of Git
Good understanding of Unit Testing and UI Testing
Ability to work on small collaborative software team
Have a passion for quality and end to end ownership of software
Additional Plus: History working in regulated industries such as medical or defense or ability to quickly embrace and learn and follow policies and procedures that comply with regulations and standards from FDA and CE
