As a key member of Medtronic Diabetes - Continuous Glucose Monitoring Sensor and Infusion RD team, the engineer in this role will engage in statistical and exploratory analysis of current and next generation subcutaneous biosensor datasets. The role will entail working with any or all CGM sensor in-vitro test, direct process output, animal test and human test device datasets. The candidate will leverage their biosensing domain knowledge to build, maintain and improve a portfolio of sensor performance metrics.

**A** **Day in the Life**

The candidate in this role will work in a team environment on statistical analysis and modeling of sensor datasets that would help guide the development of in-vitro to in-vivo feature correlation work and aid and inform next generation sensing platform work. The candidate would partner with sensor design.

**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.**

+ Support the development of next generation subcutaneous biosensors by contributing within multidisciplinary teams.

+ Mine through various data sources using state-of-the-art methods; Process, cleanse and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.

+ Apply electrochemical biosensing domain knowledge to data sense making and generate relevant sensor performance metrics and statistical insights to advise, and inform improvements in test method processes, and in-vitro to in-vivo correlation.

+ Apply data analysis results to aid research and design of next generation sensor product

+ Leverage biosensing domain knowledge to lead ideation, development, and improvement of statistical and exploratory sensor performance metric and visualization portfolio for a group wide analytic dashboard development.

+ Actively participate in discussions revolving technology selection and architecture design of analytics dashboard.

+ Write detailed technical and scientific reports, abstracts, and manuscripts.

+ Document and present work products to peers and a senior level leadership

+ Lead and manage complex projects from a schedule, and technical perspective

+ Have a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and curiosity; work on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment; possess strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced team environment.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ MS or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, or related field

+ 3+ years of related experience with MS in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, or related field

+ 1+ years of related experience with PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, or related field

**Nice to Have**

+ The breadth of theoretical and practical knowledge of biosensor technology fundamentals with focus on electrochemical sensing.

+ Experience with statistical analysis and modeling of data using state of the art tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB, Python)

+ Data visualization experience through programming or COTS tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, MATLAB, Python)

+ Experience working with code repositories using Git (GitHub and GitLab).

+ Ability to write technical documents related to engineering work

+ Ability to utilize design of experiments (DOE) for experimentation and relevant statistical techniques when analyzing data including significance tests

+ Direct experience with technical documentation (laboratory notebooks, publications, engineering reports, Standard Operating Procedures, test protocols, etc.)

+ Knowledge in regulatory submissions and FDA regulations

+ Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
