In this exciting role as a Sr Quality Engineer you will have
responsibilityfor
supporting activities to define, develop and deliver quality improvement
projects and change initiatives as well as supporting production lines with the
operations quality team.


The Restorative Therapies Group develops life-restoring therapies
and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies
and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve
efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.


**BRAINTHERAPIES** offers an integrated portfolio of devices and therapies for the
treatment of neurological disorders and diseases, as well as surgical
technologies designed to improve the precision and workflow of neuro
procedures.


**A Day in the Life**


+ Develops, modifies, applies and maintains qualitystandards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished orfinished materials product.

+ Collaborates with engineering and manufacturingfunctions to ensure quality standards are in place.

+ Devises and implements methods and procedures forinspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of productsand production equipment.

+ Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanismsand equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statisticalanalysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility forproducts or materials that do not meet required standards andspecifications.

+ Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptablereliability standards and that documentation is compliant withrequirements.

+ May specialize in the areas of design, incomingmaterial, production control, product evaluation and reliability,inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to productor process quality.

+ Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Summarizeand draw conclusions from test results leading to effective technicalresolution of process problems.


General Responsibilities may
include:


+ Disposition of non-conforming material requiringadvanced process/technical knowledge.

+ Perform detailed Root Cause Investigation of failedproduct or processes using various quality tools (5 Whys, 6 M, IshikawaDiagram, Pareto Charts). Implement corrective and preventativeactions.

+ Interface with Production, Manufacturing/ProcessEngineering, RD, and Regulatory departments to resolve process issuesand implement changes.

+ Apply knowledge of process control tools, statisticalsampling, and other analytical techniques to maximize the quality and flowof product through the production line.

+ Identify, analyze, and manage risk through product lifecycle with use of FMECA and other risk management tools.

+ Provide training, leadership, and guidance for juniorquality engineers and/or technicians.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


Bachelors Degree
in Engineering, Science or technical field with 4+ years of work experience in
Engineering and/or Quality OR Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or
technical field with 2+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality.


**Nice to Have**


+ Six Sigma Black Belt training

+ ASQ Quality Engineer Certification

+ Experience with Class II and III Medical Devices

+ Project Management (PMP) Certification
