In this exciting role as a Senior Project Engineer you will
have responsibility for contributing to the Plant product teams to support
capacity, margin improvement, and business strategy implementation projects.

**A Day in the Life**


+ Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots andprovides technical skills during product sustaining and/or product development.

+ Provides technical direction to departmentengineers and technicians.

+ Defines, creates, plans and/or executeslarger-scale capital engineering projects or several medium or small projectswhile acting as a technical specialist.

+ Maintains a thorough knowledge of newdevelopments and technology.

+ Monitors projects and recommends changes toimprove operating efficiency.

+ Performs measurements and statistical analysisto support project activities

+ Functions as a member, or at times, as leader ofcross functional teams of assigned projects

+ Prepares time and cost estimates for assignedprojects

+ Instructs engineers and technical support staffon engineering test and build requirements via written instruction andprotocols

+ Supports and drives assigned supplier capitalmanagement projects as required.

+ Supports manufacturing operations and aidsproduct design transfer efforts

+ Provides written reports and engineeringdocumentation as necessary

+ Assures compliance with company StandardOperating Procedures and policies

+ Participates in team decision making

+ Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of GoodManufacturing Practices and all other applicable standards

+ Properly plans and secures resources foreffective project completion (people and financial)

+ Travel requirement: Less than 10%


**Must Have: MinimumRequirements**


+ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, or related field.

+ 5+ years of relevant experience with Bachelorsdegree or 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree

**Nice to Have**


+ Knowledge of Change Order Systems

+ Understanding of Production Part ApprovalProcess (PPAP).

+ Knowledge of Design Control Systems (DCS)

+ Ability to write engineering documents, testprotocols, laboratory notebook entries and reports

+ Ability to perform component engineering designand changes

+ Experience in ensuring all supplier validationrequirements are met and creating all validation protocols(IQ, OQ, PQ andMSA) for review by Quality groups.

+ Ability to provide technical leadership on crossfunctional teams

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsin managing change, goal setting, negotiation, planning and organizingteamwork, and ability to address demanding situations

+ Experiencein large scale costs savings activities

+ Experience in the development of Process Flows,Control Plans, Design of Experiments, Measurement Systems Analyses,andProcess Capability Analyses.

+ Experience with component qualification atvendors

+ Good knowledge and understanding of supply chainactivities

+ Strong project management skills

+ Experience with analytical tools and methods,including statistics (Minitab preferred), DOE, and the use ofcomputersoftware packages related to design, development andmanufacturing

+ Managing and developing engineering changes in amedical manufacturing environment

+ Strong writing skills (Supplier Qualificationrequirements, Manufacturing Instruction creation etc.)

+ Sensitivity to cultural diversity anddemonstrated success in interacting with a diverse workforce

+ Works directly with finish goods suppliers inall aspects of product/process development, release, and sustaining activities
