We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to advance continuous glucose monitoring technology (CGM) with us. The Senior Principal Data Scientist/Algorithm Engineer will provide technical leadership on Sensor Algorithms and Analytics by strategizing, initiating, formulating, managing and/or delivering projects from concept to productization. The candidate will apply data science, machine learning, signal processing, statistics and mathematical modeling in developing next-generation CGM products.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE:**

Establish a technical roadmap and drive the technical direction of CGM sensor algorithms and analytics

Drive the strategy for the use of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies in algorithms and analytics

Lead technology and/or product development projects from concept to commercialization

Identify and implement best-in-class processes and technologies to drive innovation

Provide guidance, mentoring and training to team members and colleagues

Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across RD and other functions to achieve desired results


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

**BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME**

Bachelors degree required

Requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience


**NICE TO HAVE** :

PhD preferred, with 8+ years of relevant industry experience with PhD in science or engineering

In-depth knowledge in machine learning, signal processing, data analytics, statistics and modeling

Extensive programming experience with MATLAB and/or Python

Experience of leading a technical team to solve complex problems and interacting with a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team

Extensive hands-on experience developing and implementing advanced and complex algorithms

Experience in developing machine learning algorithms, preferred for medical applications (signal characterization and modeling, feature engineering, training, tuning, validating and testing algorithms, analysis, visualization and interpretation, evaluation metrics and best practices)

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively

Demonstrated ability in managing/supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment

Experience with medical device RD life cycle

Experience with software source code repository tool (e.g., Git, Subversion)

Experience with Big Data and Cloud environments

Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring technologies

An aptitude for learning new platforms and technologies
