In this exciting role as a Senior Post Market Reliability Engineering Manager, you will have responsibility for directing and managing a technical team in support of Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions Post-Market Reliability and Design Assurance. This role will lead activities driving sustaining, compliance and operations activities related to released product. The manager provides strong technical guidance and leadership to his team in following Design Controls, Product and Process Change and other relevant quality system procedures. The manager will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, prioritization skills and knowledge of best practices to guide the team on issues related to the design, operations and post market support of new products.


**CARDIAC ABLATION SOLUTIONS** provides a broad suite of electrophysiology solutions intended to disrupt and lead the market in cardiac mapping and ablation technologies for arrhythmia management. These clinical and economical solutions will enable clinicians to treat patients with safer, faster and easier, and with more predictable procedure times and outcomes.


**A Day in the Life**


The Reliability Engineering Manager builds a functional team by focusing on developing trust, encouraging productive conflict, gaining commitment of the team members who are accountable to each other and ultimately achieving results.This individual ensures the team possesses the appropriate mix and level of skills required to develop and deliver high quality products in a dynamic growth environment. In addition, responsible for supporting and encouraging continued employee growth and development. As part of this, the Reliability Engineering Manager plans staffing requirements and budgets to support current and future business unit development activities.


+ Plans, directs, implements or contributes to all aspects of the companys design and development of new or existing medical device products and concepts or software systems.

+ May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.

+ Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies and products.

+ Guides the conceptualization and investigation of methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.

+ Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research, development, and released product.

+ Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

+ Provides guidance and coaching in risk management and reliability.

+ Develops and maintains partnership with the manufacturing sites, providing guidance on the product and process changes as well as design and manufacturing transfers


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 7 years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering with 5+ years of managerial/leadership experience, or Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 5 years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering with 5+ years of managerial/leadership experience


**Nice to Have**


+ Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

+ Expert proficiency in Product development process and Design Controls

+ Strong people leadership skills and strong collaboration and cross discipline focus

+ Knowledge of heart anatomy and cardiac diseases (atrial fibrillation)

+ Expert proficiency in Product development process and Design Controls

+ Experience with the medical aspects of Atrial Fibrillation (AF) therapies, diagnostics, devices, and systems, including customer expectations, common medical practice, and systems troubleshooting

+ Expert in risk management including international standards for risk management (ISO14971)

+ Knowledge of EU MDR regulation

+ Strong written and oral communication skills

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and positively influence strategy and outcomes.

+ Demonstrated critical thinking skills with focus on improved system performance outcomes and positive business impact

+ Understanding of the post-release market surveillance
