The Peripheral Vascular Business is a leading growth and investment division for Medtronic. The fast-growing therapy of Drug Coated Balloons provide long term patency, while the unique Directional Atherectomy Device allows for removal of plaque in the Superficial Femoral Artery. This business also is a provider of Embolic Protection Devices, Chronic Total Occlusion devices, Stents, Balloons, and Procedural Support items.


We are hiring a **Sr Pipeline Marketing Manager** _(individual contributor)_ to lead the company strategy around peripheral vascular technologies, and responsible for collaboration with partners in RD, Regulatory, Clinical and more to ensure successful upstream product management and execution. You will be able to take a product from concept to creation working cross functionally with RD to shape healthcare for physicians and patients around the world. Use your creativity and passion to lead the strategic marketing direction of our Peripheral CLI products and lead assessments of new areas in diagnostic and remote monitoring technologies (80% focus). Use your product portfolio management skills to develop marketing plans and improve product offerings. In addition to traditional pipeline marketing, you will also serve as a project lead for a variety of business development initiatives. These initiatives may include new opportunity assessments, due diligence and deal execution (20% focus). Sound like you? Then apply!


**A DAY IN THE LIFE**


Analyze current and future peripheral markets and help identify key customer needs through Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Business (VOB) practices


Lead evaluations of new technologies/opportunities that are organic or inorganic


This position involves high cross-functional interaction at all levels of the organization, strategic thinking and planning and execution.


Scope next generation product development patient pathway strategy for Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) as an area of focus.


Represent marketing on Product Development Process (PDP) project teams and core teams. Ensure completion of marketing deliverables and successful transition to downstream marketing partners.


Perform market / industry research and analysis, including target and competitive landscaping and profiling, and monitor areas of strategic interest


Continuously look for ways to improve product offerings and internal processes and then work to implement ideas.


Develop strategic rationale and supporting analysis for proposed transactions and transaction relationship/fit with Medtronic strategic objectives including identification and assessment of opportunities and risks as well as operational and integration planning


Perform detailed financial analysis and develop valuation models for proposed transactions


Develop and analyze transaction structures in cooperation with legal personnel


Coordinate and lead business development meetings and briefing materials for major industry conferences


Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members in the Pipeline Marketing Business Development function


Customer Focus spend significant time in the field (20-30%) with sales personnel and customers. Represent our customer during all internal meetings.


Communicate effectively and ensure leadership is well informed.


Ability to travel 20-30% (at times on short notice)


**Must Have:**


Bachelors Degree


A minimum of 7+ years a marketing, strategy, business development or technical role within the medical device, healthcare, consulting or high-tech industry (5 years with Advance degree)


**Nice to Have:**


MBA and/or investment banking or business development or health care experience


Field and/or customer facing experience


Financial modeling experience including forecasting, pro-forma PL development, and or probability-adjusted discounted cash flow analysis, etc.


Upstream marketing experience


Strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience


Strong relationship building experience with customers (physicians and staff, sales force) in order to solicit new product or new market feedback


Product Launch experience helpful
