**A Day inthe Life:**


As a Senior Project
Manager, you will work closely with program management, subsystem technical
leads, and other engineers to manage and coordinate software engineering
activities within the Surgical Robotics business. You will be responsible for
project management activities for one or more software subsystems to support
the development of our Surgical Robotics Platform.


**Youwill ensure that your engineering teams:**


+ Areefficient, effective and well-coordinated.

+ Haveclear priorities and goals.

+ Developand track to schedules.

+ Deliverquality designs according to process. **You will:**


+ Coordinate,develop and track schedules, plans, tasks, and priorities.

+ Establishstrong relationships with engineering team members and be able to estimate,plan, and execute SW development and testing tasks.

+ Anticipateand mitigate risk points. Make tradeoffs between schedule, budget, and scope,while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

+ Identifyand track dashboard metrics that can be used to report status to leadership, aswell as drive team behavior accountability.

+ Schedule projectmeetings, document meeting minutes and key decisions, and track action items

+ Supportengineering teams to follow effective process. Promote communication betweenmultiple platform teams and disciplines.

+ Withtechnical leads, develop and manage the SW development process and necessary SWdevelopment tools. Assist with design, selection and implementation of toolsand processes. This includes assisting the team in adopting Agile SoftwareDevelopment methodologies and optimizing our JIRA usage and workflows.

+ Trackthe financials of the project and participate in forecasting and monthlyaccruals

+ Develop a broad understandingof the Medtronic Surgical Robotics and Instrumentation Businesses, products,and clinical applications and leverage the knowledge of others

+ Coordinate, track,proof and finalize project documents as needed with limited supervision

+ Coaching and influenceproject teams to achieve maximum performance and efficiency in the project.


**Must have: Minimum qualifications:**


A
Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience, or advanced degree and 2 years of
experience.


**Nice to have:**


+ 3-5 years of ProjectManagement experience in SW development

+ Experience with highlyregulated and/or safety-critical systems is required (medical device experiencestrongly preferred)

+ Strong knowledge of softwareengineering management, both tools and process (project tracking/scheduling; documentmanagement; Static analysis, SW unit testing, requirements verification;issue/bug tracking; configuration management; integration/release testing;etc.)

+ Solid understanding ofstructured product development (requirements-driven engineering, requirementsdocumentation, rigorous verification, Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA), etc.)

+ Experience withMicrosoft suite of tools (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

+ Strong verbal andwritten communication skills

+ Able to influence allcustomers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business andits technical service and product strategies

+ MastersDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration (MBA)

+ Certification as aProject Management Professional (PMP)

+ Experience managingprojects in the medical device industry

+ Ideation, development,and release of large electro-mechanical capital products with embedded software

+ Experience as a SWdevelopment engineer with growing knowledge/experience in project management

+ Familiarity with commonsoftware development tools/platforms/languages (JIRA, Stash, Bamboo, GIT, QNX,C++)

+ Experience with AgileSoftware Development Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)

+ Demonstrated experiencein accomplishing objectives.Able todeliver on multiple projects simultaneously

+ **Experiencewith 21CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485, and ISO 62304**
