Reporting to the Vice President of RD, this position is responsible for managing new product development programs across multiple businesses including Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health. This position includes responsibility for the program management office, the product development representatives on Core teams and the product release function.


As a key strategic and technical leadership role, primary responsibilities will be to ensure business growth, primarily through new products, while driving collaboration with peer leaders across RD, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical functions as well as all key regions. Work will include identifying exploring new product development opportunities that drive sustainable growth in existing and adjacent market spaces within the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health businesses


**A Day in the Life**


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.

+ Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

+ Manages the development and implementation process of a companys products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.

+ Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

+ Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

+ Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

+ Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

+ Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.

+ Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

+ Leads the PMO organization. Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.

+ Drives execution and accountability for all new product development program related activity to deliver appropriate scope on time and on budget.

+ Effectively manages significant budget, including different funding sources and resource allocations.

+ Lead the Implantables Product Review Committee (PRC) to govern all Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health New Product Development Programs

+ Build highly motivated and aligned teams that can execute effectively. Manage teams and leaders across geographic, functional and cultural boundaries. Optimize communication, collaboration and trust across several sites and functions.

+ Actively participates on the Implantables RD leadership staff to develop strategy, tactics and execution of strategic plan initiatives and programs.

+ Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

+ Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelorsin scientific or engineering degree

+ Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience , or Advanced Degree with a minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience

Maintain visibility to key stakeholders globally Research and technology, development, RD sites, clinical, marketing, strategy, other BU leaders, clinicians, patients, etc. (through travel, information sharing, performance metrics, strategy engagement, etc.
