**A Day in the Life**

The Heart Valve Therapies (HVT) **Sr Global Technical Lead** oversees, designs, plans, and develops educational curriculum, content and programs that are aimed at safe growth and procedural excellence in transcatheter valve implantation and heart valve therapies. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and field education trainer for specified TAVR products and indications, educating new hire employees for safe procedural support. During new product development, you will consult with clinical, RD, marketing and other procedural experts on the

Global Field Therapy Development (GFTD) Team during the clinical trial phase all the way through to commercialization. As a SME, you will also be an educational design expert, outstanding leader, close collaborator, proven strategic thinker, flawless executer and committed team player, focused on the team, patients, and market growth.

•You will assist the field globally in supporting Transcatheter procedures for trial and commercial markets and new product launches in all countries; including TAVR TMVR

•You will be a subject matter expert for the Medtronic HVT business unit coaching TDS/TC/sales reps in the field for procedural excellence in U.S. and global geographies

•You will provide clinical training and support of complex and alternative access procedures

•You will provide advanced procedure training and support to new and existing field employees

•You will provide product / procedure support to customers and field employees

•You will provide classroom and procedural training to field employees

•You will administer oral / written examinations to field employees for certification and competency validation

•You will design and administer competency assessments of field employees, including:

o Procedural coaching

o Complication management

o Imaging certification

o Developing employee training plans for site and geographic-specific needs providing educational solutions

o Designing and implementing quality initiatives to promote positive procedure outcomes

•Provide cross-functional representation and support to:

o Physician Education

o Field Assurance, Quality Regulatory Departments

o Sales and Marketing Departments

o R D and Clinical Affairs Departments

o Legal Department

•You will collaborate with other GFTD teammates to ensure consistent delivery of product procedural training curriculum across the globe for all stages of new hire training, including BPI, BPII, BPIII, Imaging Workshop, Imaging Preceptorship, and Certifications

•You will collaborate with country leaders to ensure understanding of their geography specific market dynamics and learning needs, and modify product procedural training programs to meet those needs

_NOTE: Ability to travel with overnight stays approximately 50 - 75% or more of the time; some international travel required. Ability to effectively organize and plan travel with frequent last-minute requests and changes_

**Must Haves:**

•Bachelor's Degree

•15+ years’ experience in a role that involves technical training of others (13 years with Masters) in the healthcare industry

•Experience in the Field as a TAVR Therapy Consultant or Therapy Development Specialist supporting TAVR cases

•Experience with cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, pathology

•Program management experience

**Nice to Haves:**

•MBA or Master's Degree

•Global experience

•TAVR case support experience with CoreValve/Evolut R/ Evolut PRO or competitive devices

•Interventional experience (guide wires, balloons, catheters, stents)

•Cardiac surgery experience, including surgical aortic valve repair (SAVR)

•Previous physician training experience

•Surgical scrub experience

•Previous medical device clinical trial experience

•Medical imaging interpretation experience (Echocardiography, Computed Tomography, and X-Ray Angiography)

•Interventional endovascular experience (endovascular aneurysm repair [EVAR] and/or thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair [TEVAR])

•Interventional structural heart disease experience

•Direct patient care experience as a Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Radiologic Technologist, Certified Surgical Technologist, or related
