This position will be responsible for oversight of Global development and strategy for medical device labeling and packaging across the Diabetes business by managing a Product Packaging and Labeling (PPL) team coordinating activities across functions as well as multiple US and international sites.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE:**
Manages team labeling and Packaging engineering organization supporting labeling globally, providing leadership and direction, interfacing with Marketing, RD, Regulatory, Technical Communications, Legal, Package Engineering and site Operations
Provide leadership, direction and prioritization for organization located in Northridge, California for the management of packaging and labeling projects as well as preparation of labeling and supportive illustrative materials
Provide leadership and direction on labeling / packaging projects and project plans. Ensure budgets, performance standards and schedules are managed and met
Develops, plans, manages and monitors projects in support of Diabetes products ensuring quality, regulatory and business timelines and requirements are met.
Identifies and prioritizes work for labeling team of labeling developers, graphic designers, proofreaders and labeling specialists, with global and Diabetes-wide requirements perspective. Partners cross functionally with business partners to identify priorities and requirements for labeling.
Leverages technical experts to drive best practices and align labeling with packaging and overall business needs. Collaborates within and across Diabetes on packaging engineering and labeling needs. Ensures labeling team alignment with engineering requirements.
Monitors changes in labeling regulations and standards in the US and/or abroad. Reviews labeling change information, and ensures that it is supported by and consistent with the regulations and data.
Drives strategic initiatives focused on continuous improvement to the labeling and packaging development processes, quality, systems tools and/or policies.
Represent PPL on labeling and labeling related activities with peers and leadership in Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Marketing and RD.
Drives and ensures compliance with MDT and industry standards, with solid documentation, process and procedures for labeling creation, revision and overall document management
Provides leadership, direction and coaching to globally diverse organization regarding all activities, responsibilities, growth and professional development.
Works with GPLS leadership to identify opportunities and execute improvements to drive organization to next level with harmonization, best practices and innovative processes and technologies
**Qualifications - Internal**
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
**BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
**IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME**
Bachelors degree required and minimum of 7 years of experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years ofexperience with 5+ years of managerial experience
**NICE TO HAVE:**
Degree in Project Management, Packaging, Graphic Design, Marketing, Engineering, International Relations or related field
Experience in working on multi-disciplinary and global teams
Knowledge of US and international medical device regulations and standards, especially those related to labeling
Experience working in the medical industry
Strong organizational developments skills
Strong global and strategic thinking
Ability to work effectively with others across departments/disciplines to implement solutions
Ability to manage diverse and remotely located teams
Excellent communication skills: written and oral
