**A Day in the Life**
We are looking For An expert Software VV (Verification Validation) Engineer for our vital signs monitoring domain.
The Engineer will develop and execute exploratory software tests and requirements coverage tests in order to ensure the products software quality.
The Engineer responsibilities include deep understanding of the product features, presentation of feature/product status and quality, tasks estimation, tasks planning, coordinating, writing, reviewing, leading technical activities and executing software testing.
The Engineer will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system.
The Engineer will be a technical leader and will be part of the project core team and will need to priorities the tasks between the engineers and overcome any unexpected blocker to make sure VV activity progress most efficient way.
**Must Have:**
Education: BS degree in Software Engineering, Electrical engineering or any other relevant engineering background
**Experience:**
Minimum of 10 years of SW testing experience (preferably medical device) including writing testing protocols/procedures and execution.
Minimum of 5 years of technical leader or team leader experience with leading quality assurance test.
Activities manage and priorities QA/VV tasks
Create clear, concise and details-oriented test plans/cases.
Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
**Skills/Competencies:**
Creativity and ability to develop rationale approach to testing coverage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in written as well as spoken English
Strong debugging, problem solving and analytical skills
Leading capabilities.
**Other Skills:**
Prior work in a regulated environment, following development standards and processes Advantage
Experience in other testing and verification areas but software Advantage
Experience in developing and writing automatic testing - Advantage
Self-learning capabilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborate with development, project management, customer support and engineering teams.
Experience with medical device
**Nice to have:**
Experience with medical device
Experience with offshore team communication
Experience with programming in LabView system design from National Instruments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Review Product functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
Provide valuable feedbacks about version quality to VV Manager as well as to project manager about progress/showstoppers and system manager about product requirements
Identify test requirements from the specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan
Provide accurate effort estimation for coverage tests while consider all test aspects (documentation, tests execution, exploratory tests, debug etc.)
Develop, document and maintain functional test cases
Review team documents and give feedback
Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results
Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate these issues following the development process
Isolate, replicate, report defects and verify defect fixes
Work within a regulated medical device development environment, following development standards and processes
Design and/or develop testing methods and equipment to assure products meet requirements for performance and safety
Work as part of the project core team to complete the testing activities on time and within budget
Design and run Automation testing
Perform regression testing with the associated required documentation
Investigate and test new technological developments to evaluate their feasibility
Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within Capnography area
