This position will lead a software development team in their day to day
development activities, provide project planning, scheduling and tracking, and
help drive functional excellence in project execution for the Software
organization. The candidate must be self-driven, with strong understanding of
project management, the Software Development Lifecycle process and strong
technical and leadership skills.

**Day in thelife:**

+ Lead a team of software development and verification engineers(employees and offshore vendor resources) working on the CareLink system.

+ Lead a software development function with multiple direct reports.

+ Responsible for project planning including identifyingrequirements, developing work plans, managing project budgets, building projectschedules, and partnering with team members to determine and communicatefunctional and/or resource requirements.

+ Own and Manage execution against an aggressive but achievableproject plan, provide project-related work direction to team members, work withpeer project managers/cross functional program team members to monitordependencies and ensure that critical program milestones and deliverables aremet.

+ Communicate project status and issues to the Program Core Team asappropriate. Proactively manage projectquality, risks, and issues.

+ Provide project team members with a clear vision and purpose forthe project. Create a positive tone and morale for the team. Motivate team members and build project teamidentity and cohesion. Ensurecross-discipline coordination and communication.

+ Participate in business strategy development and execution.

+ Facilitates cross functional project related decision making.

+ Contribute to the advancement of the software organization bydriving ideas for process improvement in project planning, project managementand the overall product development process

+ Provide input for setting team members performance objectives andprovide feedback to direct reports about performance against projectdeliverables and core competencies.Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members asappropriate.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

**Nice to Have**

+ Demonstrated trackrecord of successfully delivering on projects in a matrix environment

+ Excellent communicationskills

+ Understanding of theSoftware Development Life Cycle

+ Ability to drive DevOpsimprovements across organizational boundaries

+ Ability to managegeographically distributed teams

+ Track record ofeffective vendor management to deliver results

+ Prior experienceleading the development of FDA Class I, II and III Medical Device systems

+ Experience working inregulated environments and delivering new products in compliance with global regulatorystandards

+ PMP Certification

+ Medical Device Industryor related experience.

+ Prior experience withand working understanding of Hadoop, Kafka, Kubernetes, SQL and HL7

+ Masters insoftware/computer engineering or MBA
