**A Day in the Life**


As part of the Robotic Systems Data Analytics team, you will be supporting development of the next generation Robotics and Instrumentation systems for Medtronics Robotic Surgery Platform **.**


**You will:**


+ Be a part of the Data Analytics team within RD System Engineering Center of Excellence and collaborate with Robotics and Instrumentation and Data analytics vectors.

+ Develop software tools for analyzing data collected from development, manufacturing and use of our robotic systems. These tools will help monitor and enhance system safety and performance through appropriate data visualization. Ideate, design, develop tools for data retrieval, data processing, data analysis and data visualization

+ Support cross functional multi-site teams to build relationships with internal customers to develop user stories based on their usecases, identify and understand robot events and states captured in logs, interpret them based on documentation in Agile/Jama, coordinate data curation and analysis from log data in various formats including SQLite

+ Testing, troubleshooting, and debugging the implemented tools and utilities at the system level

+ Work with cross-functional team of engineers to support product development process across subsystem components and develop a deep understanding of the system functionality.

+ Analyze a diverse range of engineering (analog/digital sensor/actuator) data to triage, root cause and debugging while communicating with and controlling a complex mechatronic system

+ Interface with engineering leads in internal customer teams and systems engineers to prepare documentation, maintain records, and release reports

+ Guide strategic efforts to improve the product development process and to influence the process based on data analytics

+ Verbal and written communication skills with management about project objectives, schedules, system performance


Communications and interpersonal skills are highly valued in this role. The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with customers, engineers, managers, and other stakeholders of all relevant disciplines is a must. Flexibility to multi-task and adapt to evolving priorities will be required. We value continuous learning and professional growth


**Must have: Minimum qualifications:**


+ Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 0 relevant experience


**Nice to have:**


As an ideal candidate, you will have any or all the following experience:


+ Advanced knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and bio-medical devices and/or robotics.


+ Extensive knowledge of working with engineering data including physical quantities such as speed, acceleration,

+ force, torque, voltage current of robotic devices using software tools such as Matlab and python.

+ Demonstrated skills in managing priorities and coordinating multiple team activities on concurrent, interdependent

+ projects supporting product development (requirements-driven-process and verification validation)

+ Experience with regulated and/or safety-critical systems (secure cloud-connected medical device experience

+ preferred)

+ Exposure to managing real-time data pushed from devices connected across multiple time-zones to cloud services

+ (AWS/Google/Azure)

+ Python and/or any other object-oriented programming experience to create, analyze and visualize databases from

+ networked devices and exposure to basic statistical analysis methods and predictive modeling approaches


**Working Conditions:**


Work-from-Home and Standard Office setting in North Haven, CT or Boston, MA. Some limited travel may be required.
