The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Korea is an integral part of Medtronic Asia Pacifics Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (CoE) team, and reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition, Asia Pacific.


This role will work closely with Hiring Managers, Talent Acquisition teams, Business Groups and Country HR Business Partner(s) in Korea and APAC to understand their Talent Acquisition needs in order to apply delivery of CoE developed and/or customized programs and solutions. The Senior Talent Acquisition specialist works independently as well as collaboratively with the Manager(s) and Business Group and Country HRBPs to support large/complex initiatives in the matrix environment.


Key focus areas for this role include attracting the right talent in timely manner, aligned with business needs of the Korea Region and to deliver the following:


+ To partner closely with country HR advisors and Hiring Managers to understand and meet current and future Talent Acquisition needs and receive the talent forecasting plans.

+ To manage/ accountable for the entire Talent Acquisition process process include recruitment strategy discussions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding.

+ To work in partnership with the HR teams as well as the Recruitment Process Outsourcing vendor and teams to ensure consistent application of standards and methodology.

+ To execute Talent Acquisition strategies in the related geographies and implement cost-effective, high-impact solutions that address business Talent needs (short and long term).

+ To ensure that the Companys agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.


**A Day in the Life**


+ Participate in the development and rollout of key programs in line with core global design concepts and regional/business specific needs

+ Execute Recruitment strategies in the related geography to meet the organizations growth plans.

+ Provide leadership to RPO and governance of the country operations delivery service levels.

+ Build and manage relationships with Hiring Managers ensuring robust Talent Acquisition service delivery.

+ Directly lead the process for Director above hiring. Leverage candidate relationship management methods to keep qualified candidates in close contact with Medtronic.

+ Responsible for cascade of global Talent Acquisition Programs/processes into the country.

+ Coordinate pre-employment testing, background checking, Cross Border transfers and other aspects of the employment process in partnership with HR BP.

+ Utilize Analytics metrics to report out the effectiveness of Talent acquisition process to stakeholders and ensure that proactive and timely feedback is provided to stakeholders during the process. Partner closely with RPO to review the SLAs and provide thought leadership to design appropriate solutions for effectiveness and efficiency.

+ Manage and monitor progress against approved staffing plans.

+ Partner with Corporate Regional campus Programs to manage University recruitment and internship activities. Partner with Country HR to develop, support and manage campus recruiting and internship program(s) in the respective countries.

+ Provide Leadership to the onsite RPO team and ensure timely and SLA driven talent acquisition delivery through the RPO team

+ Ensure the systems and processes are streamlined to efficiently support the business needs while identifying opportunities to leverage resources and processes.

**Must Have**


+ Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology or Social Science.

+ Post Graduate qualifications in HR or Management highly regarded


**Nice to Have**


+ 10+ years experience in a HR generalist and/or senior recruitment specialist role.

+ Sound understanding of the local labor law as it relates to recruitment and hiring.

+ Solid knowledge of the staffing and talent management best practices with an appreciation and knowledge of the varied and diverse cultures that exist in Korea and impact our business and global employment markets.

+ A track record of success in participation and execution of tangible solutions.

+ Proven track-record of progressive personal career development within HR

+ Success working across complex; highly matrix; multi-cultural organizations.

+ Ability to deliver solutions within environments undergoing significant change.

+ Experience with a variety of staffing sourcing channels; systems; methodologies, analytics, reporting dashboards, and demonstrable expertise in driving change as a result.

+ Excellent PC skills, intermediate-advanced Microsoft application skills

+ Experience in healthcare, life sciences, medical devices advantageous

+ Sound working knowledge of HRIS Systems/Taleo.

+ Proven experience in generating HR reports and statistics

+ Exposure to developing and coordinating regular HR communications

+ Exposure to related administrative processes relating to global employee mobility programs

+ May have broad knowledge of project management


**Other Comments or Requirements:**


+ Travel: Approximately 15-20% travel (Some interstate and overseas travel will be required)
