**Senior Supplier Quality Engineer**

**(Rice Creek East) Fridley, MN**


As **Senior Quality Engineer** , you will have responsibility for Internal Supplier Controls for the Product Sustaining Engineering Team as part of Neuromodulation Operations Quality.

**Medtronic Neuromodulation** delivers innovative therapies and solutions for neurological diseases, pain, and spasticity.

**Day in the Life - Responsibilities**

+ Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

+ Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

+ Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

+ Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

+ Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

+ May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

+ Utilize strong oral, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, technical writing, and project management skills as part of a highly cross functional team with key stakeholder throughout all of Medtronic.

+ Lead the investigation of complex product and process problems and identify and manage corrective actions.

+ Travel requirement: less than 10%

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements (Must be evident on your resume):**

+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with

+ 4+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality


+ Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with

+ 2+ years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality.


+ Quality Engineering experience in a medical device or related industry

+ Applied knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

+ Strong oral communication, presentation, and technical writing skills

+ Experience applying statistical methodology

+ Experience implementing process improvements

+ Strong analytical skills

+ Ability to work effectively within team and across functions

+ Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly

+ Familiarity with ISO13485, MDSAP, FDA QSR, or other national/international quality requirements

+ ASQ-CQE, CQA, CBA or equivalent certifications

+ Six Sigma Green Belt (ASQ Certified or Equivalent)

+ Proficient in engineering drawing and GDT
