Medtronic CRM Application Development teams develop the next generation medical technologies that save lives and improves quality of living for millions of patients across the world. The CRM Software team is one of the most cutting-edge teams within Medtronic, working with various software technologies in application software, network software, mobile software, BT/BLE communication software, and interfacing with embedded software for management and control of implantable medical devices. The CRMSoftware team is looking for a proactive, self-starting, strong software verification engineer to help build the next generation of software.

As a Senior Software Verification Engineer, you will perform verification test activities for Cardiac Rhythm Management(CRM) Software Products. Develop tests for custom medical device applications by creating Test Design/Analysis and Test Implementation/Procedure for the verification of software requirements. Perform test execution and deliver medical device related Design History File documentation.

**Day in the Life**

This position will be responsible for interfacing with a team of software test engineers in the development of automated/manual tests for custom medical device applications, including Linux, Android and IOS platforms, by creating Test Design/Analysis and Test Implementation/Procedure for the verification of software requirements. The position will perform test execution and provide associated Design History File documentation.

Responsibilities include:

+ Design and execute project test plans and strategies.

+ Determine and onboard mobile testing technologies and decisions.

+ Read, analyze, understand product requirements; support requirements reviews.

+ Design and execute tests using Automated test tools, as well as Manual test development process, for the verification of software requirements.

+ Establish and maintain traceability from software requirements to verification test design and implementation.

+ Assist the verification lead in workload planning and time estimation.

+ Participate in the technical reviews of software requirements and peer verification test development.

+ Interface with software development engineers on software implementation.

+ Perform test execution and participate in the review of peer test execution.

+ Assist development team on debugging and solving issues discovered during test.

+ Operate electronics testing equipment.

+ Prepare, review, submit, and maintain project/product documentation

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technically related

+ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

**Specialized Knowledge Required** :

+ Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices

+ Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies like Kafka, Elastic, and Hortonworks

+ Programming/testing expertise Including Python, Flask, or similar language

+ Experience with REST APIs (Swagger is a bonus)

**Nice to Have:**

+ TensorFlow, TFX, pytorch, mlflow, AWS SageMaker and related technologies

+ Experience with NOSQL databases (HBase preferred)

+ Experience with version control systems with Git such as BitBucket or Azure DevOps

+ Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, etc.

+ Working knowledge of securing cloud apps- use of AWS security controls (KMS, guard duty, API GW, etc) may include threat modeling, general vulnerability management within consumed 3rdparty components, static code analysis experience, Stretch (previous pen testing experience), use of and familiarity with OpenIDConnect/OAuth2

+ Ability to work on cross-functional project teams comprised of software verification and development engineers, system engineers, human factor engineers and quality engineers.

+ Ability to test, analyze, and solve technical problems.

+ Strong organizational skills.

+ Strong written and verbal communication.

+ Design/test experience working with regulated medical devices.

+ Experience working within a regulated environment.

+ Experience with software version control tools.

+ Quality focus, willingness to learn, versatility and adaptability.
