**A Day in the Life**


As a Senior Software Architect, Data Aggregation, you will be a lead contributor to the software design for the Data Aggregation, Synchronization, and Recording Platform for the HUGO Robotic Assisted Surgery system. You will work closely with your software and systems architecture team, the Surgical Video AI team, and the corporate cloud IT team to create the right data acquisition, aggregation, and processing architecture. This platform augments our Surgical Video AI products and will be the framework for our AI and data driven products. Your work will involve the identification of the right data models, architecting a logging platform for a product with more than 50 embedded computers and numerous sensors, and helping to define the cloud platform that handles the data of every product in the field.

**You will**


+ Partner with systems engineering, our Surgical Video AI group, corporate IT to align HUGOs data aggregation and recording platform with our cloud and AI platforms

+ Partner with the Systems team, product owners and validation groups to define and review requirements and use cases

+ Partner with the development teams to create the Software Architecture and Design for the data aggregation and recording platform.

+ Create and maintain the software and data architecture model and documentation with UML/SysML and Enterprise Architect

+ Support and review the design of C++ implementation of the data aggregation and recording platform.


**Must Haves**


Bachelors Degree and at least 4 years of relevant engineering experience OR an advanced degree and at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience.


**Nice to Have**


+ Solid architecture and design skills using UML (SysML a plus)

+ Experience with Enterprise Architect (Matlab/Simulink a plus)

+ Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures and architectures for data-driven and database software, esp. SQL, XML, REST.

+ Experience with implementing data architectures, including web and cloud solutions.

+ Experience with data processing and analytics methods, esp. statistics, numerical analysis, deep learning and signal processing theories.

+ Medical product development process highly desired-regulator processes, safety considerations, hands-on experience with medical/surgical devices/instruments

+ Experience with a big company with matrix structures, having already worked with cross functional teams within an international environment

+ Fluency in English is required (German a plus)

+ Ability to travel up to 25%
