Preference is for this position to be based in Northridge, CA but a remote assignment will also be considered.

We are looking for a **Senior Reimbursement Analyst** to join the Diabetes Reimbursement team.You will work with a wide set of internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement strategies to gain funding and reimbursement for our life-changing therapies. The primary objective of this role is to gain patient coverage for new, emerging Diabetes product therapies in the US and globally.

**A Day in A Life:** (Day-to-Day Responsibilities):

+ Develops and implements reimbursement strategies and programs to obtain coverage, coding and payment from payer/providers, including direct interactions with payers and other related entities to gain reimbursement/funding for Medtronic therapies.

+ Provides reimbursement-related advice to product development teams, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical and business leaders.

+ Creates and executes comprehensive market access strategies through the integration of reimbursement, pricing, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic modeling activities.

+ Identifies payer opportunities and issues and implements programs to resolve/decrease barriers to entry for the companys products or therapies.

+ Designs, develops and implements an integrated approach to all aspects of the payer value proposition from early development through market maturity to transition to newer, more beneficial therapies.

+ Works closely with Health Economics and Outcomes Research staff to evaluate the economic impact of the use of therapies/ products on payers, including the government.

+ May create training and deliver education programs to sales force, physicians, medical directors, billing personnel, distributors, and other external stakeholders as needed.

+ Communicates the unique attributes of Diabetes therapies to external multi-stakeholders to ensure the devices value proposition will be recognized and maximize market uptake.

+ Works collectively with payers, including HTA, reimbursement influencers and other decision makers to ensure the continuous changing reimbursement systems remain fair to all involved parties.

+ May be engaged in both US and OUS reimbursement planning activities, with strategies spanning durable medical equipment, pharmacy, physician, and other payment systems as required.

**Must Have Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelors degree and minimum of 4 years of experience in health policy, reimbursement, health economics, health services research, or other field with direct relevance to the role

+ Or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in health policy, reimbursement, health economics, health services research, or other field with direct relevance to the role

**Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):**


+ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of U.S. and global healthcare reimbursement mechanisms (Medicare and commercial payment systems, third-party payer coverage, clinical and procedural coding) and regulations related to medical technology products.

+ Project management experience

+ Working knowledge of clinical trial policy coverage and understanding of clinical procedures and clinical study design.

+ Experience in providing coding, coverage, and payment advice in a healthcare setting with an emphasis on medical technology.

+ Able to work independently, cross functionally and as part of a team to problem solve and seek advice when necessary performing work with limited oversight and supervision.

+ Able to manage multiple tasks with high degree of organization-prioritization skill and attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Able to apply strong analytical skills to a variety of situations of varying ambiguity.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; skilled and engaging presenter.

+ Ability to travel: 10 20%
