**A Day in the Life**

The SR Engineer position provides the technical expertise and leadership which is a pivot and a driving force for sustaining and improving the Mazor robotic assisted surgical system. You will drive ECNs after thorough investigation partnered with system engineers as well as quality and clinical experts.

You will be working in the mind frame of risk-based assessments and conformity to regulation as well as VV in the heart of development. The SR Engineer needs to construct and present technical presentations in a clear and through way to have the issue well understood as well as the various solution options and his recommendations. The senior engineer will have the knowledge and expertise to use Mechanical and statistical analysis as well as excellent understanding in GDnT, Manufacturing technics, CAD design skills, Problem solving technics,You will need to collaborate and influence the multidisciplinary team that work together with you on change orders so that the projects will be efficient and timely. You will suggest and initiate ways to constantly improve the processes, methods and tools used @ Mazor using your experience in the engineering realm.

We offer you a position where you will be an essential member of the Mazor operations and the owner of ECNs that introduce design improvements, addressing design issues that impact the product performance, price and the production line.

As part of your day to day you will :

Own design changes and be responsible for the ECNs from end to end.

Manage technical investigations of failures or poor performance issues.

Prepare and present technical reviews (TRR, DRs, CCB)

Design, qualify, document and validate assembly test fixtures/Jigs and tools, release to production and service.

Design (using Solidworks) changes to existing systems based on research of failures as well as design new solutions to solve technical issues and needs.

Evaluate plan and execute cost reduction projects.

Manage EOL cases to minimize risk to production and optimize cost.

Seek new manufacturing technologies to improve performance and cost.

Manage NPI programs to have successful transition to production.

Construction and management of product DMR including BOM, SOP's, Mechanical electrical specs.

Collaborate and communicate with a vast network of global stakeholders.

Working Relationships:

Internal: RD departments (System, VV, Robotics), QA/RA, Operations and Product

External: Suppliers, Sub-Contractors.

**Must Haves**


BSc in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Engineering manufacturing environments with at least 4 years of system development.

Proven experience in multi-disciplinary products

Fluent in Hebrew and English

Experience or extensive knowledge of at least 2 related disciplines from the below:

1.Design experience of sub systems in a multidisciplinary machine.

2.Quality related knowledge e.g. SPC, ANOVA, Gauge RnR

3.Sustain engineering experience

4.NPI experience

5.Knowledge and experience in motion control


Experience in Medical Device companies or other highly regulated industries

Understanding and knowledge of relevant regulations and standards FDA QSR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDD-significant advantage

Proficient in MATLAB

Knowledge of quality systems (QMS)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Master's degree (in a relevant field)

Experience with design of surgical tools

Solidworks, WCL expertise
