The Medtronic ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) business operating unit
develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care
continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence
to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver

As part of ENTs Research and Development engine, you will be working on a
variety of new product developments to support the various ENT therapies.

**A Day in the Life** **of a Systems Engineering Senior Manager**


You will:


Identify, implement, and
optimize Systems Engineering roles and processes as needed to support
organizational objectives.


Promote and advance Systems
Engineering practice and champion a culture change within the organization.


Build positive partnerships
with other Systems Engineering programs across Medtronic, business unit
leaders, and functional leaders.


Lead, direct and review the
work of individual contributors on the Systems Engineering team to achieve
organizational goals.


Identify resource needs and
hire skilled talent.


Support the growth of
direct reports by teaching, mentoring, coaching, and supporting external
training opportunities.


Ensure programs have robust
technical solutions and risk burndown plans.


Lead multiple system
engineering activities in the product development life cycle including
identification, planning, monitoring, and executing tasks for entire project.


Collaborate with functional
leaders for appropriate resource planning and scheduling on all projects.


Work with research and
business unit leaders to define a technology roadmap and product roadmap.


**Must Have: MinimumRequirements**


To be considered for this
role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.


BS with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or MS /
PhD with 5 years of experience and


5+ years of managerial experience


**Nice to Have**


Experience in the medical device industry and/or surgical
techniques.


Multiple years experience as a Systems Engineer or Core
Team leader.


Experience in software, hardware, and system design.


Experience writing requirements and managing risks, ideally
in a requirements management system.


Demonstrates creativity while solving complex problems
without known solutions.


Ability to work in a team environment and directly
contribute to its success.


Strong leadership skills and mentoring abilities.


Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Good at communicating complex technical opportunities,
challenges, and other information to upper management in a concise but thorough
fashion.


Ability to drive change.


Ability to assess new technologies via comprehensive reviews
of the state-of-the-art.
