Medtronic is looking for a dynamic, strategic _Senior Communications Program Director, Clinical Research, Medical Science and Regulatory Affairs (CMRA)_ to join our Corporate Communications team. In this role, you will serve as a strategic counselor and business partner to the Chief Clinical and Regulatory Officer, and be responsible for the development and delivery of an internal and external enterprise communications plan for these functions.

The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in organizational communications and a proven track record of using communications to educate, engage and inspire our employee audiences. They will also have experience using external communications to advance a companys reputation and thought leadership.

This is a visible role that requires a proactive, forward-thinking approach and the ability to assess and prioritize communications opportunities, counsel business partners, and engage stakeholders in bold new ways. The role combines both strategy development and execution with a demonstrated ability to establish clear objectives and create content that generates meaningful outcomes.

This role supports a global function and will ideally be located in our Minneapolis office; other Medtronic locations will also be considered. Relocation is not provided for this role.

**A Day in the Life**

+ Serve as enterprise communications lead for CRMA function.

+ Create, deliver, and ensure the execution of an internal and external enterprise communications plan for these functions, in partnership with colleagues across Global Communications and Corporate Marketing (GCCM), focused on internal awareness and engagement, and external thought leadership and enhancing Medtronic reputation.

+ Develop, deliver, and oversee outcomes-based communications strategies, messages, and tactics, including annual programs and major enterprise-level initiatives.

+ Identify creative ways to pull through and amplify messages across paid, earned, owned and social channels.

+ Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts and inform improvements/adjustments to future initiatives.

+ Travel up to 10 percent of the time

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field

+ A minimum of 15years of experience in an integrated communications or corporate communications role with a bachelors degree, or a masters degree and 13+ years of experience.

+ 10+ years of managerial experience (people/projects/programs)

+ Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver communications plans and tactics with measurable outcomes, using multiple channels.

+ Proven ability to deliver impactful organizational communications, as well as experience in external communications (PR, media relations, branding, thought leadership).

**Nice to Have**

+ Medical technology/medical device industry experience

+ Clinical or regulatory communication experience

+ Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across a variety of functions and with all levels of management and employees.

+ Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.

+ Ability to effectively counsel business partners, manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and excel under pressure.

+ Exceptional project management and organizational skills.

+ Masters degree in communications, marketing, or related field
