To support our Neurovascular portfolio for the Benelux region we are currently looking for a customer-oriented Sales Manager with excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, proven leadership competencies and natural ability to spot business opportunities. This is a great challenge for an experienced person with a strong clinical background, commercial attitude and strong leadership skills. Fluent English is required.
**A Day in the Life**
In this role you define, implement, supervise and drive strategic and operational direction, objectives and targets for the Neurovascular business in Benelux Nordic countries. You are responsible to allocate and utilize Medtronic resources in the most effective way. You need to be able to identify and grow human talent and build/develop a strong, performance driven team to enhance Medtronics reputation in the market. We expect you to be an inspirational leader for your sales team and spend time on coaching to get them to a higher level.
**Responsibilities**
Develop and implement business strategies and plans to grow the Neurovascular business within the country/region and to deliver yearly defined objectives in each country relative to AOP, market penetration and market share
Establish and roll-out annual goals and objectives for the Neurovascular sales team, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and plans at EMEA and Global level
Identify business growth opportunities and unmet customer requirements and provide focus to move ideas to market place
Analyze market size, competitive market landscape and other information from all sources and develop strategies to improve sales and increase market share for all product lines
Work with business unit to provide input on forecast, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinical evaluations etc.
Interface with marketing teams in the countries to provide input on Neurovascular portfolio marketing strategies
Ensure alignment in other functional areas such as medical affairs, training and education, reimbursement, etc.
Drive talent acquisition development, as well as organizational development
Develop and maintain contact with the KOLs and other health care professionals and ensure the definition and prioritization of customer requirements, through participation in physician organizations, conventions, and other customer contacts to better understand the market and respond to market needs
Define, implement, supervise and drive strategic direction, objectives and targets at the region level and in accordance with EMEA strategy to ensure sales and marketing objectives are met, and to ensure profitability, drive market development and penetration as well as revenue and market share growth.
Ensure access of company technologies to patients through an outstanding service to customers
In order to be successful in this role, we expect you to be an entrepreneur and a strategic thinker with a successful track record in Sales and strong influence management skills. Furthermore, you are a people manager who is highly motivated with a can-do attitude. Lastly you are a strong communicator, team player with high integrity standards, you are charismatic and enthusiastic with positive thinking and ability to lead a complex team.
**Must Haves**
Bachelors degree coupled with postgraduate degree
Minimum of 5 years of progressively expanding sales and marketing responsibilities, with consistent strong performance (sales leadership)/ Minimum of 5 years successful people management experience
Medical device industry experience
Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales marketing management as well as other functions
Strong proven leadership
Strong ability to get plans executed from direct reports
Proven track record to work independently, while achieving aggressive personal and geographic objectives
Proven track record of good judgment. Demonstrated integrity and respect of peers and subordinates
Strong Marketing competence and market business development track record
Business planning analysis strategic planning, etc.
Familiar with business policies in a multinational environment
Fluent in English
Willingness and acceptance to travel min. 60% of the time
Living in the Nordics
**Nice to haves**
Cross-countries sales or marketing leadership experience in a medical device international company preferred
Experience in highly competitive market preferred
Knowledge of Neurovascular therapies is a very strong preference
Track record which clearly indicates effective management and motivation of other groups in a multi-cultural environment (multiple European countries)
Additional European language (Dutch, any Nordic) will be a huge plus
