You will lead the MyCareLink Relay+ monitor development and global launch that enables patients to connect directly to their heart device and transmit implantable cardiac device information back to their clinician. You will own shaping our global patient monitoring roadmap, defining scope, schedule and budget and will be accountable to the Patient Management business and Product Review Committee (PRC) for overall successful product development execution through the Phase Review process. Cardiac Rhythm Management OU offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.


**About Patient Management:**


Once a patient receives an implanted cardiac device, the innovation and care doesnt stop there. Its only the beginning of a long-term relationship that the patient establishes with the provider. Staying connected with cardiac device patients is critical to improving outcomes. At Medtronic our goal is to provide Patients and Clinicians with tools that simplify how cardiac device patients are managed and help give the insight needed to make better, faster decisions -so patients health can be restored.

+ Programmers and workflow tools for implants and in-clinic device follow-up

+ Remote monitoring via our MyCareLink-Relay beside monitor and our MyCareLink-Heart app that connects patients with their provider enabling anywhere and anytime connectivity

Were always looking for new ways to work together with providers and improve the patient management tools used every day. We are now looking for a Core Team Leader to champion our MyCareLink Relay+ solution for our patients. The new leader will continue to build upon the results achieved so far by adding critical capabilities and driving new innovations that build brand preference.


**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.

+ Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

+ Manages the development and implementation process of a companys products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.

+ Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

+ Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.

+ Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

+ Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

+ Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.

+ Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

+ You will lead the development of MyCareLink Relay+ platform and drive key decisions that will optimize investment, trade offs and customer experience to deliver on Patient Managements business objectives.

+ You will provide leadership to a cross-functional core team that includes experts fromproduct development, systems engineering, regulatory affairs, human factors, security, privacy, quality, operations, finance, marketing, and operations.

+ Prepare, facilitate and lead successful program phase reviews and updates to senior leadership review teams including the PRC (Project Review Committee) and PSB (Product Strategy Board)

+ Lead a program level core team driving multiple projects. Responsible for project performance, risk management, administration, financial management, budgeting, capital planning, forecasting and issue resolution.

+ Maintain effective communication with the business leadership team, team members, customers, field representatives, and functional leadership in all activities required to operate the product successfully.

+ Partners with Core Teams to define and deliver solutions, within agreed upon timelines and cost. Communicate to business leadership about the progress and health of development activities.

+ Monitor progress toward established objectives, assesses risk and implements strategies to ensure successful delivery of the product(s) that align with organizational goals.

+ Facilitates cross functional project related decision making.

+ Provide input regarding the performance of individuals on project teams

+ Engage the field and our customers, to gain knowledge about product application and customer needs. Leverages this knowledge to facilitate education of clinical user needs, and customer and business needs to project teams.

+ Identifies and drives strategic opportunities to improve the MyCareLink Relay+ ecosystem, in line with the Patient Management long term vision.

+ Create and maintain the integrated beside monitor and patent app product roadmap

+ Manage execution of all documentation and phase gate deliverables.

+ Influence management skills. Need to be able to influence both VP level leaders and individual contributors.

+ Drives the quality and completion of phase review presentations, deliverables and use of guidelines.

+ Uses leadership skills to ensure that cross-functional resources are assigned and held accountable for task and outcome completion.

+ Manages projects within portfolio and makes commitments to meet specific business goals and objectives.

+ Manages and tracks project budget with components that include human resources, suppliers, and general expenses to meet established return on investments per project.

+ Build a highly effective core team. Provide feedback and coach team members to ensure effective team dynamics and mutual accountability


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

+ Minimum 8 years of medical device product development experience

+ Minimum 3 years of Project and/or People management experience

+ Strong business acumen, ability to think and act from an overall best for the business perspective.

+ Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness -- ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management and employees.

+ Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix organization and work collaboratively and effectively with Medtronic leadership, customers, and across organizational boundaries.

+ Experience leading software development programs of medium to high complexity.

+ Strong project management skills; knowledge of process and project planning best practices.

+ Influence management skills; ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals.

+ Detail oriented with a relentless focus on cost, scope, and schedule.

+ Demonstrated ability to show high integrity and gain the respect of peers and subordinates

+ Strong analytical, planning, organization and time management skills to effectively develop and execute comprehensive programs and budgets.

+ Masters Degree in technical field or MBA
