Medtronics Tempe, Arizona location is looking for aProduct Engineer II Released Product Engineering. This position will support the Medtronic Mission for unsurpassed quality and reliability in ourmedical devices byproviding product ownership for yield management/improvement and product change management for our Neuro hybrid products.


**A Day in the Life**


In this is a dynamic role, you will partner closely withHybrid Manufacturing, Component and Quality Organizations as a pro-active problem solver to help identify, document, resolve or escalate major risks and issues while ensuring compliance with Regulatory requirements.You will work within a team environment to drive product engineering activities for released products.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


+ Responsible for technical aspects of a group/family of hybrid components.

+ Work closely with other Medtronic functions to meet Quality, Cost and Delivery initiatives

+ Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of hybrid components; analysis of customer returns; supplier related engineering changes and optimizing hybrid production relative to cost constraints.

+ Responsible for engineering activities associated with components purchased from suppliers to ensure components, materials, and suppliers meet specified requirements and performance, reliability and safety goals. This includes:

+ Applying principles of microelectronics, chemistry, physics and material behaviors to develop and execute test / process improvement plans.

+ Applying knowledge of supplier and internal manufacturing methods, procedures, inspection, and tests techniques to resolve issues.

+ Applying statistical methods to ensure feature-level capability and performance.

+ Lead cross-functional teams toensure corrective and preventive measures meet acceptable standards of robustness and effectiveness.

+ Resolve product, test system and manufacturing failures bydriving to root cause and final resolution of yield related issues.

+ Provide RD support for manufacturing transfers, where applicable.

+ Produce engineering reports to provide technical explanation to support domestic and international regulatory submissions.

+ Prepare technical product documentation including design history files, drawings, bills of materials, test protocols and reports, engineering change orders (ECO), etc.

+ Optimize and refine existing products to improve performance.


**Must Have: Minimum Qualifications**


+ **B** achelors degree required

+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience


**Nice to Have**


+ Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline

+ Experience or knowledge in device physics of integrated circuits

+ Experience with semiconductor andmicro-electronic packaging manufacturing technologies, equipment and processes

+ Experience with advanced test systems used to test integrated circuits

+ Experience with statistical software applications, such as JMP or Minitab

+ Experience with Microsoft Office products

+ Knowledge and experience in Design of Experiments
