As a Therapy Delivery Systems Product Development Program Manager (PDM) within the Cardiac Implantables Technology Development Center, you will be responsible for the management direction of all phases of design and development of new medical devices and systems within the CRM space and specifically related to leads, delivery systems, and other therapy delivery systems and accessories from market definition through production and release.
**Day in Life:**
+ Function as the Product Development Program Manager for the design and development of new lead systems, delivery systems and other therapy delivery systems and accessories
+ Will have indirect people management and budget responsibilities
+ Provide project, people, resource management and technical leadership to meet project plans
+ Responsible for development of project requirements and the execution of resource allocation, plans and schedules for complex medical device systems
+ Lead concept assessment and project decision-making via customer input and knowledge of technical feasibility
+ Determine the most appropriate technologies, tools, methodologies, and materials required for various products
+ Maintain and share technical expertise within functional area and within industry Interface extensively with other Medtronic business partners, customers and relevant contacts
+ Manage interface between development team and Core Team(s) which include Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing
+ Manage project documentation, including requirements associated with corporate commercial release
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree in Engineering or technically related
+ Minimum of 5 years of technical work experience, 3+ years of project and/or people management experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
**Nice to Have:**
+ Knowledge of product development processes (PDP)
+ Knowledge of QMS Design Control procedures
+ People management skills
+ Financial management skills; influence/communication skills
+ Masters degree in engineering, business or technical discipline
+ 5+ years of project and people management experience for an implantable device company
+ Experience in implantable CRHF leads, delivery systems and accessories
+ CRM QMS Design Control procedures; cross-functional technical experience, and extensive industry knowledge.
+ Knowledge of MS Project software
