In this exciting role as a **Principal Quality Engineer** you will have the opportunity to work within the quality function within the Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR) business in Santa Rosa, CA. We are pioneering the first transcatheter mitral valve solution for Medtronic and this exciting new aspect of the Structural Heart business is focused on clinically viable solutions that improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.

**Structural Heart and Aortic**


The Structural Heart and Aortic integrated operating unit offers minimally-invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart and the aorta. We focus on the transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valvesaortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspidand the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the bodys largest artery, the aorta.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

+ Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

+ Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

+ Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis

+ Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

+ May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventorycontrol and/or research and developmentas they apply to product or process quality.

+ Leads and is accountable for non-conforming material review board meetings.

+ Formulates, delivers and manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.

+ May act as a mentor to colleagues


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science or Technical field with 7+ years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering or Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 5+ years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering.


**Nice to Have**


+ Product Development/Design Quality experience

+ Project management experience

+ Receiving Inspection Lab Experience

+ Clinical and Commercial Experience

+ ASQ-CQE, CQA, CBA or equivalent certifications

+ Strong analytical skills

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Ability to work effectively within team and across function
