**A Day in the Life**


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Serve as the thermoplastic molding representative on a team. Works independently with general supervision on larger, moderately complex projects / assignments.

+ Responsible for project milestones on the team and cross functional assignments.

+ Communicates primarily and frequently with internal and external team members.

+ Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives of projects and assignments.

+ Mentors and assists Engineers and Technicians Typical work tasks

+ Hands on work on the injection molding machine involves tool and equipment setup.

+ High level debugging of injection molding machines, molds and processes

+ Execution of design of experiments related to optimized process window generation or generation of a robust processing window

+ Leads technical activities for materials selection, processing, and product design with the team

+ Work with upstream and downstream process owners to improve process reliability

+ Generation of 3D CAD models

+ Responsible for coordinating material, equipment and tooling with external vendors


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience


**Nice to Have**


+ Bachelors degree and minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience or Phd/ D. Eng with relevant area of focus

+ Requires knowledge of injection molding and knowledge of injection molded tool design for thermoplastics

+ Hands on experience working on injection molding machines

+ Project management skillset.

+ Demonstrated computer skills such as Solidworks, Moldflow Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

+ Working knowledge of statistics and design of experiments

+ Strong injection molding processing capabilities

+ Working knowledge or expertise in a regulated environment (Medical, Pharmaceutical)

+ RJG Mold Masters certifications

+ Working knowledge of Minitab

+ Expereince with Insert injection molding and vertical injection molding systems

+ Experience in process and equipment validations
