The Restorative Therapies Group develops life-restoring
therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating
technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient
access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient

**A Day in the Life**

+ Applies education, experience, and technicalexpertise toward developing world class medical products for X-ray based, imageguided surgery. Participates in thedesign, development and testing with an emphasis on high-power analog circuits( 1kW).

+ Familiar with both schematic and layout toolsfor PCB (Mentor Graphics PADS and DxDesigner preferred)

+ Extensive knowledge in SPICE tools forsimulation

+ System-level design expertise with highvoltages, functional architectures, and electronic packaging

+ Extensive expertise and proven track record ofanalog electronics design on a broad range of common electronic components andICs, such as MOSFETs, capacitors, powerswitching ICs, op-amps

+ Extensive understanding of electronic designreliability and experienced in effective methodology

+ Propose new ideas fortechnology advancement within the Electrical group.

+ Responsible forsub-system development within a large capital project.

+ Develop requirementsand specifications for sub-system components.

+ Facilitate make versusbuy recommendations.

+ Design and developelectro- mechanical products based on requirements

+ Implement, maintainand execute the project plans for new technology programs

+ Maintain and completeappropriate documentation for new technology programs

+ Ensure appropriatedocumentation is transferred to product line specific areas duringcommercialization phase

+ Plan, design, review,and oversee the testing of devices according to international electricalemission, immunity and safety standards

+ Provide information tosenior management regarding the impact of new technology programs or newproduct lines acquisitions on the business

+ All activities must beperformed in compliance with the Quality System

+ Perform duties incompliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policiesor governmental regulations

+ All other duties asassigned

+ Travel requirement:10-20%

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

**Specialized knowledgerequired**

+ B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering

+ Extensive experience in the electrical designfor reliability, manufacturability and safety compliance. Preferably inhigh-power analog electronics (1kW) in an analog/digital mixed-signalenvironment

+ Deep domain knowledge in analog electronics onthe component level, and have a proven track record for analog circuit designsin mixed-signal capital electromechanical devices

+ Extensive knowledge and experience in ground andisolation for safety and power/signal integrity purposes

+ Deep domain knowledge and extensive experiencein component reliability analysis on subassemblies

+ Extensive experience and strong track record ofproduct development process from concept to commercialization

**Preferred knowledge**

+ Extensive knowledge of international medicalelectrical safety standards (EN-60601-1)

+ Extensive knowledge of electrical emission,immunity and safety testing of medical devices

+ Extensive knowledge in electrical manufacturingprocesses as they apply to the design process

+ Skilled with LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink,Hyperlynx, and HDL languages for CPLD and FPGA

+ Experience and knowledge of x-ray systems

+ Experience and knowledge of lead-acid andLithium-ion batteries

+ Experience and knowledge of robotics systems andmotor controllers

+ Experience and knowledge of PLM systems (Agilepreferred)
