**A Day in the life**

+ Actively collaborate within the design team ensuring that requirements, development milestones and deadlines are met.

+ Coordinate with project team to create system requirements, product requirements, design specifications and design descriptions according to procedures and processes.

+ Define, design, implement and document embedded software for microprocessors and digital signal processors.

+ Provide constructive feedback on software and firmware designs of other teams and team members.

+ Contribute to resolve complex issues by analyzing customer needs, system requirements and acquired data.

+ Lead, when required, cross-functional team efforts to design features and maintenance of existing products.

+ Record and share solutions that lead to protection of intellectual property.

+ Evaluate product non-conformances and, when required, recommend design modifications.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

**Nice to Have**

+ +10 years of medical product development

+ Object oriented design

+ Embedded microprocess software design

+ DSP software design

+ Real time operating systems

+ Wired and wireless communication protocols

+ Motion Control/Robotics

+ Microsoft Visual Studio with TFS

+ Complex algorithm design

+ Manufacturing support

+ C/C++/C#/Python

+ Windows/Linux

+ Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other relevant discipline.

+ Strong documentation skills.

+ Good communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the RD organization

+ Ability to work both individually and as part of a team

+ Excellent time management skills

+ Experience with Medical Device Directive (MDD), ISO 13485/IEC 62304/ISO 14971, FDA design controls or similar regulatory environment

+ Domestic and International Travel of approximately 10%.

+ Masters of Science or PhD.

+ Experience with analog and digital hardware

+ Experience driving technology integration and adoption
