Position can be onsite in one of the following Medtronic offices: Northridge CA, Boulder CO, Minneapolis MN, and Mansfield MA. Team is currently working hybrid model onsite 2-3 days/week but will transition back to 5 days in the office.

As a PrincipalFinancial Analyst you will partner with various stakeholders including Quality, Finance and Operations partners. You will be accountable for maximizing value across the Operations Platforms portfolio by optimizing Quality programs and processes. You will leverage advanced data and metrics to provide insights, forecasts, and recommendations that influence leadership decisions. You will train and coach internal teams on KPIs, strategy and execution tactics.

**A Day in the Life**

The PrincipalFinancial Analyst will be responsible to Business Partner closely and strategically with Quality leaders, to provide financial insights and management decision making support. Candidate will be required to have advanced Excel skills to be able to manipulate large amounts of data. He/she should be comfortable presenting financial topics to non-Finance business partners, energetic, results-oriented and be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

+ Influencing and leadership: develop and maintain strong relationships with key Quality Functional leaders and Finance partners across Operations. Actively participate in definingconsistent processes for communication, forecasting and financial accuracy/accountability with these partners.

+ Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Partner within cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the accuracy of financial models for forecasting, AOP, and Strat Plan. This includes HC demand vs supply and developing multiple what-if project scenarios, with sensitivity tables and ranges.

+ Month-end activities: execute standard period and quarter-end financial close activities through analysis of actuals, review of headcount and establishing accruals. Drive monthly reviews of forecast to actual results and rolling forecast. Consolidate and prepare results commentary for both directly supervised cost centers and areas supported for others.

+ Educating and Training: Focus on helping our partners develop effective financial business acumen and train them on applicable finance policies (example: Cost Center management and Capitalization)

+ Identify and drive process improvements

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)

**Nice to Have**

+ Working knowledge of SAP.

+ Strong experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, Essbase and CXF/CMR.

+ Experience in Operations organization.

+ Previous Business Partnering support role is an asset.

+ Ability to work independently and take initiative.

+ Comfortable and articulate in presenting financial results to a large audience.

+ Demonstrate continuous learning and increases in job responsibilities.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle ambiguity.

+ Ability to manage several projects or tasks.

+ Resourceful and strong systems, data mining skills or have interest and capacity to learn new systems.

+ Ability to assess complex data and variables to identify trends, provide insights and recommended plans of action.

+ Advanced modeling, forecasting, risk assessment and scenario planning skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adjust style to audience.

+ Strong analytical skills.

+ Strong interpersonal skills.

+ Strong influence management skills.

+ Advanced Excel required (macros, pivot tables).
