Job Description Summary: We are seeking a strong and versatile Principal Signal Integrity Engineer with proven experience in board level simulation. In this role, you will own board design and development efforts through all phases including analysis, design, layout, simulation, prototype bring-up, test, complete design documentation, and release to the manufacturing. Our Principal SI Engineer is an expert in signal integrity issues, board layout design rules and system-level fundamentals. Ideal candidate should have a proven track record in designing board level systems for the Aerospace applications.

Signaling and interconnect technology selection, definition and simulation of high speed interconnects using simulation tools, access timing, noise margin, crosstalk, signal loss and signal integrity of all clocks and critical data signaling and develop noise and timing budgets.
• Generates accurate signal integrity analysis in PCB design
• Accurately model power distribution networks and noise propagation mechanisms
• Measure signal quality using high speed digital scopes
• Perform hardware validation testing and develop reports
• Provide feedback to package, and board design team for improvement
• Perform model to hardware correlation
• Create design guides and routing rules for specific interfaces
• Analyze variation dependence and parametric optimization
• Validate design and correlate measurements with simulations using VNA, TDR and Oscilloscope
Basic Qualifications: Qualification: Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (PhD is preferable)
Experience: 10 - 15 Years of industry experience
• Familiar with Signal Integrity, eye diagram, transmission line and EMI in reality and theory;
• Hands on experience with common interfaces, e.g. PCIe, ETH, USB
• Hands on experience with memory interfaces, e.g. DDR2, DDR3
• Familiar with lab equipment including but not limited to VNA, TDR, real-time scope, spectrum analyzer
• Knowledge in using simulation tools, e.g. Hyperlynx
• Power delivery network, power supply, silicon, package or PCB design experience
• 10+ years of experience in S.I. field
• Experience in actual product design and analysis, S.I. methodology development, and lab correlation/validation of the simulation results
• Expert in IBIS Modeling, HSPICE model extraction
• Crosstalk analysis of signals, return current analysis to reduce noise.
• Proper transmission line impedance control.
• Familiar with package and board co-design methodology
• Has done Package and system level power integrity design methodology
• Backplane design experience and analog circuit knowledge are preferred
