The Principal Cybersecurity Specialist will participate in the development and execution of the Medtronic Cyber Threat Intelligence process.


**A DAY IN THE LIFE**


Fully analyze successful and unsuccessful intrusions by targeted and commodity threats


Construct descriptions of campaigns, actors, and organizations


Seek out, collect, and properly leverage intelligence from external data sources


Generate intelligence from Medtronic data sources and share it accordingly


Manage intelligence to further organizational objectives


Perform structured analysis techniques


Properly categorize and communicate threats using estimative language


Develop and perform scoped, hypothesis-based, Cyber Threat Hunting on regular intervals


Support CSIRT Incident Response and Red Team, and other organizational needs for intelligence


Support the CSIRT Anomaly Detection Program with Intelligence


Support the CSIRT Findings Management Program with Intelligence


Intake Requests for Information, determine intelligence requirements, and produce intelligence work products


Intake Requests for Threat Modeling


Regularly leverage clear and excellent oral and written communications skills


Strong presentation skills to present to both Technical and Senior Management audiences


Maintain strong reputation and credibility in accurate cyber threat analysis and reporting


**MUST HAVE** (Minimum Qualifications)


Bachelors degree


7+ years of experience with a bachelors degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree


**NICE TO HAVE** (Preferred Qualifications)


Previous Medtronic experience


Preference given to current Medtronic employees


Strong desire and ability for analytical and critical thinking


Ability to design, develop, and follow processes


Experience with Microsoft Excel, OneNote, ServiceNow, Threat Intelligence Platforms, Web Intelligence tools, threat feeds, SIEM, full packet capture/flows


Working knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, BSD)


Ability to work in a work in a fast-paced environment including translation of complex concepts and issues into insights for Senior Management and non-technical audiences.


Strong interpersonal skills


Strong oral and written communications skills


Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight


Experience facilitating working sessions


Experience creating risk mitigation strategies


Knowledge of the Cyber Killchain and MITRE ATTCK frameworks


Understanding of standard Cyber Threat Intelligence Terminology


Relevant certifications such as GCTI


Demonstrated ability to take a risk based and proactive approach to manage change


Demonstrated ability to work in flexible and ambiguous environments
