Serves as the Sourcing liaison in the resolution of supply related issues.

·Participates and/or leads Sourcing strategic activities as local sourcing related initiatives, and supplier delivery performance.

·Support commodity management in pricing, terms conditions, and quality agreements with key strategic suppliers.

·Maintains and promotes strong relationships with suppliers, SQE, Manufacturing, Planning, Finance, Quality, Commodity Management and any other internal customers.

·Participates in supplier visits and audits to drive continuous improvement activities (Cost of Poor Supplier Quality Support)

·Uses problem solving techniques/methodologies to identify supplier delivery root cause and achieve resolution of production continuity events.

·Follows all purchasing control procedures

·Supports Site for regulatory body audits

·Attendance and engagement in the SiOP process and the GSC/planning target consensus meetings/reviews.

·Communicates changes to Purchasing COE

·Attends to Site production and Tier meetings and other Staff meetings as needed

Performs special projects as assigned including but not limited to: new product introductions, the coordination of phase out activities and material cost reduction initiatives.

**Speific to the Level**

Leverage your knowledge of the Contingent Workforce in a Strategic Sourcing capacity, managing supplier negotiations and enhancing stakeholder satisfaction for Medtronic while reducing total cost and increasing compliance. This role will be an integral componentby driving best practices in Contingent Workforce Management and providing operational support to the Contingent Workforce program office.

This position will have daily interaction with the PMO, hiring managers, Human Resource Managers and others as required.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will utilize their skills to negotiate optimal resources at a most favorable cost.

•You will be a major team member that will provide operational support to the Contingent Workforce program office

•Responsible for the daily operations and support to Medtronic Hiring Managers, Human Resource managers and their global peers by working in a cross-functional team

•Daily interaction with suppliers and supplier relationship management

•Make recommendations where necessary to improve processes and systems in order to reduce the overall cost of acquisition of temporary labor

•Negotiate with suppliers on behalf of Medtronic managers in order to continue to control costs.

•Assist managers in the identification of quality resources in a timely manner while managing cost controls and compliance to Contingent Workforce Policies

•Collaborate with leadership and peers to identify the best solution related to the identification and onboarding of external talent

•Ensure that Medtronic risk is mitigated by complying with company policies and staying aware of labor laws and specific risks related to the external workforce

•Communicate opportunities for continuous improvement, issues and risks to Program Leaders

**Quality Responsibilities**

·Reports any observed or informed process and/or product non-conformities to the Supervisor for action and resolution.

·Reports any complaint regarding a Medtronic product to the Supervisor.

·Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g.: FDA Part 820 Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 Quality Standard, R-PAL (Japanese QSR’s).

**EHS Responsibilities**

Work is performed in building’s interior with normal temperature, good illumination, air condition, clean environment and minimum risk

**Basic Qualifications**

Education:Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field


·Principal Level:7+ Years with Bachelors or 5+ Years with Master

·Leading and influencing negotiations, project management, troubleshooting and problem-solving analysis,

·strategic thinking and collaborative team building.

·Knowledge of procurement/planning principles, regulations, theories and processes

·Understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems

·Knowledge of industry terminology, processes, work-flow and materials.

·Experience in staffing, recruiting or contingent workforce management.

·Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant savings year over year

·Fluency speaking and writing in English and Spanish

**Preferred Qualifications**

Education:Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, or similar field


·Strong knowledge of the contingent workforce and/or recruiting

·Excellent leadership, teamwork, and effective business partnering capabilities

·Experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex organization

·Experience leading supplier negotiations

·Proven demonstrated results producing significant cost savings/value in contracting

·CCWP (Certified Contingent Workforce Professional) or similar recruiting certification

·Familiarity with Fieldglass

·Previous experience and/or expertise with multiple indirect commodities
