**This position will travel up to 75% to Contract Manufacturing partner.**


In this exciting role you will provide technical leadership and own execution of deliverable in support of process development, characterization, validation, and legacy product support in 100k clean room production environment.


This position involves working closely with several other functions, including Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, RD, Quality and Regulatory. The qualified candidate will exercise judgment within industry defined practices and company policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

**A Day in the Life**


You will develop and characterize processes in support raw material suppliers.


You will operate and optimize process characterization through the use of different equipment.


You will document experiments and results in engineering reports and test plans.


You will create and present summary presentations to management.


You will collaborate and coordinate with outside vendors.


You will effectively communicate with multiple departments on a daily basis to support manufacturing activities.


You will coordinate with all project stakeholders, including internal engineers and technicians, sourcing and vendors.


You will provide and execute a path forward for continuous improvements.


You will provide an in-depth analysis and provide recommendations for improvements.


You will research, plan, design, verify, validate and develop mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.


You will recommend various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.


You may be responsible for the transfer of design updates/products from RD to manufacturing.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; supplier related engineering changes and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints.


Assumes responsibility for device and/or internally produced or externally purchased components after transfer into high-volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication.


May assist customer in device usage problems or customer testing of complex devices.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


To be considered for this role, the following minimum requirements must evident on your resume.


Bachelors degree in Engineering and 7+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience OR Masters degree in Engineering and 4+ years of experience in an operations/manufacturing environment.


**Nice to Have**


Medical device or healthcare industry experience.


Medical device or other regulated industry experience (e.g. automotive, aerospace, biotech)


Experience working in a clean room environment and wet lab environment.


Experience in thin film process characterization and development.


Experience in analyzing large data sets and performing relevant statistical analysis.


Proficient in writing technical reports, procedures, and/or reference documents.


Tracking, coordinating and presenting project schedules and budgets through Gantt charts, creation of dashboards and other vehicles.


Experience in developing Design of Experiments (DOEs), statistical process control, DMAIC and Lean/Six Sigma


Able to work independently under limited supervision


Able to provide coaching to junior level engineers


Desire to lead large projects that have high visibility in the organization


Able to communicate effectively with senior leadership on project status.


Ability to prioritize projects and execute in a timely manner.


Results oriented driver and deliverer in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines.


Out-of-the-box thinking in finding solutions to unexpected challenges and problems.


Possess strong interpersonal skills to work across multiple functions to resolve issues
