Medtronics Surgical Robotic Program is responsible for developing Medtronics Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) platform through commercial launch and production scale-up.

The Medical Surgical division strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions. We set standard for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) by creating innovative surgical products and services that focus on obesity and diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, abdominal wall, pelvic region, and the head and neck.

The Medical Education Director will help lead the effort to create global strategies for worldwide medical device approvals to introduce new products to market.

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

+ Seeking a critical business leader to ensure high customer satisfaction and experience scores, to build a strategy of how to merge the intersection of technology, simulation, and training to deliver on goals of speed to proficiency and procedure/product adoption

+ Sets the standard for innovative PACE strategy, tools, and metrics for other OUs

+ Leader will differentiate and help us take share of our products by providing superior training experiences

+ Leader will need to display operational excellence, ability to manage complex projects and teams, strong cross-functional collaboration, and strong relationship-building capabilities with surgeons/HCP

+ Facilitates customized training and education programs for Medical and Academic Professionals on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to increase procedural, technology and product adoption to improve patient outcomes

+ Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness

+ Conducts/ Facilitates physician led education and consulting, supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with clinicians and organizations

+ Lead a team of trainers


Must Have: Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelors degree

+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

+ Broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in multiple job areas

+ Adult learning experience

+ People leadership experience

+ Clinical background/ operating room/ bedside experience

+ Ability to travel approximately 50%, including international travel

Nice to Have:Preferred Requirements

+ Medical Affairs/Clinical Research/Quality/Regulatory Affairs/Engineering/Marketing experience at Medtronic or within a medical device industry

+ Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Project (or similar scheduling software), project management techniques and tools; andweb-based applications

+ Excellent project management and organization skills

+ Ability to identify and implement solutions in addressing clinical education process issues

+ Capital equipment background/experience
