**A Day in the Life:**


At Medtronic, the Field Technical Consultant (FTC), Deep Brain Stimulation will provide technical expertise within assigned accounts. The FTCwill collaborate with our sales personnel and our client base daily. This position includes ensuring sales personnel and clients troubleshooting questions are rectified.


This is a **field based** role.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


+ Provides technical expertise to sales representatives, other sales functions and customers through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.

+ May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by providing technical support and information on specific applications.

+ Provides sales personnel with technical data necessary for the demonstration of products.

+ Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained.

+ Schedules personnel responding to critical situations to ensure that clients needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification.

+ Maintains communication with design management and specialists in resolving technical problems and/or bringing problems to the design departments attention.

+ May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

+ Provides and evaluate technical and protocol training to Customers and Medtronic partners.

+ Provides Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training as needed to both Customers and Medtronic partners.

+ Assists physicians in product application, training and troubleshooting.

+ Provides technical support to Customers for implants, follow-ups, programming and trouble-shooting.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


_To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume._


A High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 6 years ofclinical, technical or medical salesexperience;or


An Associates Degreewith a minimum 4 years ofclinical, technical or medical sales experience;or


A Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years ofclinical, technical or medical sales experience.


**Nice to Have:**


Degree in health care related fieldor Engineering


RT Certification or degree


Solid knowledge of reimbursement climate


Familiarity with the operating room


Excellent clinical acumen


Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure

**Physical Job Requirements**


Required to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation


Required to attend national meetings, district meetings and other training as requested


Sit/stand/walk 6-8 hours per day


Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.


Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer.


**Must have a valid drivers license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
