**A Day in the life**

The Field Inventory Specialist will play a pivotal role in assisting to improve the regional inventory utilisation and Territory Manager/Sales Representative efficiency in field stock management. As a conduit between Customer Service staff and the CVG field team he/she will assist with issues related to customer invoicing, order fulfilment, stock returns, and other areas as needed to ensure accuracy timeliness of all Customer Service activity. **Key responsibilities include:**

+ Lead the Inside Sales Team with the Inside Sales Manager to achieve (and aim to exceed) quarterly and annual sales targets.

+ Work with key CVG Business Unit stakeholders (including Marketing and Sales Management) to build accountability amongst field staff for field stock management activities, including cycle count completion, movement of short dated and slow moving stock and retrieval of expired inventory from field locations.

+ Support field staff in coordinating field cycle counts, communication and movement of short dated and slow moving stock, return of expired stock and replacement of returned stock.

+ Work with key CVG Business Unit Inventory Management stakeholders to set appropriate field stock levels where relevant based on usage

+ Support ad-hoc requests from TMs for consignment stock management

+ Support onboarding and training of new TMs into the consignment stock management process and supporting technology.

+ Monitor individual performance of TMs in terms of field stock control highlight instances of non-performance with Business Unit and Operations management to target improvement.

+ Ensure that all quality requirements and objectives are achieved

+ Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the relevant Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation.

+ Authorised to immediately record and report to your Manager/Supervisor and the Quality Manager or their delegate:

+ On any errors and/or defects which may occur from the improper performance of your job or colleagues job; and

+ To ensure appropriate corrective action is initiated to prevent a recurrence

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Formal tertiary qualifications in Operations Management, Business or Commerce would be an advantage.Customer service and/or warehouse experience would be an advantage

+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel Word

+ Ability to build strong customer (internal and external) relationships throughout a customer organization, at all levels

+ Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software

+ Excellent communication skills, team playing skills and ability to coach and mentor.

+ Some Supply Chain or inventory experience desirable

+ Experience with SAP an advantage.

+ APICS CPIM would be an advantage

+ Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt would be an advantage

+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to cope with changing priorities and deal with a broad variety of tasks concurrently

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - diplomatic but persuasive

+ An ability to form on-going relationships with customers and field staff

+ Can work autonomously but is also a team player
