Medtronics Tempe, Arizona location is looking for a night shift Equipment Maintenance Technician III that will accept the challenge of learning and developing maintenance and process activities in the Hybrid Manufacturing organization.

**A Day in the Life**


As an Equipment Maintenance Technician III, you will be expected to play an active role in supporting the sustaining and continuous improvement activities within the Hybrid Manufacturing Process Engineering organization.


In this position you will provide hands-on and technical support including process equipment installation, maintenance and repairs. **You will work a compressed schedule that will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, from 5:30PM to 5:30AM.**


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


+ Performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on production line manufacturing or plant equipment.

+ Locating and diagnosing failures, replacing defective components, and performing basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.

+ Maintaining appropriate maintenance and repair logs.

+ Using a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.

+ May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment

+ May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.


**Must Have Minimum Requirements**


+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.


**Nice to Have**


+ Associate of Science Degree in a related discipline.

+ Packaging manufacturing technologies and equipment and processes including Die Attach, Wirebond, Transfer Mold, Direct Chip Attach, solder paste and reflow processes, PWB final sizing technologies including mechanical, Rout/De-panel, Wet Saw Singulation and Excise, and dimensional verification using optical metrologies for semi-conductor packaging assembly.

+ Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment with production personnel, equipment supplier, Process Engineering, and other Functional Groups (Component, Product etc.) on continuous improvement projects.

+ Possess the necessary people skills to understand cultural differences, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively.

+ Good organizational skills, with strong written and verbal communication practices.

+ Ability to interface well with peers and Production personnel.

+ Experience with Lean Sigma, or Green/Black Belt Lean Sigma certification.
